The land of grey peas and bacon

My mum found an old diary of mine from when I was a teenager...I read half the stuff in there and God did I sound depressed!! Did you keep a diary when growing up?

Signed Misscheekychops aged 36 and 2 months

I've just recently moved into my new place and stumbled across about 7 diaries starting from when I was 15 years old. Best comedy books I've read to date. Can't believe the stuff I wrote in it...

Yes when I was 15 and my sister tortured me with it years later when she found it. Same old shite about boys and the being 15 I hated everyone ! I still have it somewhere.

Yeah, from 14 until 18, when my step dad read it because I left it laying about in my own personal space

Now I've kept one from December 2011 and it's ongoing.

I keep one currently. I started when I was 18 and it has a few entries, maybe 1-2 each year whenever something big happened.

It makes me both extremely happy and very sad to read through it because it highlights very important times in my life.

It's nice to look back and read raw emotion sometimes.

Nope. Kind of wish I had but my big regret was not taking more photographs as a kiddie

Yes and I need to burn them.

I keep one now. Every day for the last four years. It's online though so it's more of a journal than my innermost thoughts.

Very recently burnt all mine. Decided the present and future is where it is all at now. It made me sad reading through them as I realised I had no one I could confide in

No, because there is no way any of my family would have respected my privacy enough not to read it.
