Missing socks

Milton Keynes

Where do they go to? I load the washing machine & when dry and put away there is always one missing, I look around to see if they dropped them somewhere but nowhere to be found !

Does any one else experience the same with their washing missing

Check your drum cap, they mostly likely get caught and then pulled underneath.

I used to have this problem and I rectified it by only buying black sox, you may end up with an odd sock but you always end up with pairs... plus 1

They are stolen by the Sock Goblin and left with the heap of forgotten biros in the Land of Lost Items.

If there were justice and balance in this world, there would be an army of Lost Item Retrievers, constantly battling to restore equilibrium.

Sadly, they sailed with Gandalf across the Grey Seas when they could see we had lost faith and magic.

I have a massive carrier bag full of odd socks

They mainly come about cos bloody kids bring their washing down in dribs and drabs....single socks get washed, then the other sock emerges out the abyss known as teenagers bedrooms and become the other odd sock.

Every few weeks I go through the bag and pair them up... It's quite therapeutic...i do have long term singles, I daren't chuck them though cos the other one will turn up
