I've never had a tattoo before but I quite like the idea of something floral on my pussy... Lilies, blossoms, etc. Really colourful and pretty.... With a few music notes and marks maybe woven into the design. I have a few questions:

1. Has anyone had this particular area tattooed and if so did it hurt?

2. For any tattoo would people mind giving me their own description of what the pain is like? (I understand thresholds vary, so comparisons and as many comments as possible would help me gain a better perspective.)

3. How do you go about finding a HIGHLY recommended tattooist? (I've seen too many cockups on tattoo fixers to worry me! lol)

4. Does anybody have an idea on cost?

Many thanks for any help and advice. xx

I personally describe it as a hot match being dragged across the skin it hurts but it's a satisfying pain be warned tattoos are highly addictive!

Imagine razor sharp needles being stabbed repeatedly into your vaginal area while having dye injected into the subcutaneous layer of your dermis.

That's pretty much how it will feel.

Good luck

It's quite simple you have a row of needles or just the one when outlining going in and out of your skin God knows how many times a second so it's gonna hurt where ever you get it lol , but I have to say stick with the outline and the shading and filling in is a piece of piss . It's all about pain management really , try to remember breathe and talk , also I would recommend taking a sugary drink with you as your going to bleed. And as for after care ask your artist what they use/recommend I've started using pure coconut oil and it's the bollox .

And tats are highly addictive as my bank balance shows

I have around there done..pointless asking me if it hurt as I fell asleep half way through..

Cost depends on design and size as most work on an hourly rate.. Best thing to do is go into as many studios as you can and ask to see their work.. They will usually have a folder or fb, instagram etc.. Where their work is displayed.. Again the design you want will depend on what artist you pick.. They usually have their own strengths... Realism, flowers, portraits etc..

Let me know if you want to see mine.. I don't tend to have pics of tats in public.

"1. Has anyone had this particular area tattooed and if so did it hurt?"

No never had that area done but it probably would hurt, and the pain depends on your threshold and anatomy.

"2. For any tattoo would people mind giving me their own description of what the pain is like? (I understand thresholds vary, so comparisons and as many comments as possible would help me gain a better perspective.)"

The outline tends to hurt the most, it feels like someone scratching your skin. Shading and colouring in doesn't always hurt at all, again it depends on your anatomy and pain threshold.

"3. How do you go about finding a HIGHLY recommended tattooist? (I've seen too many cockups on tattoo fixers to worry me! lol)"

You don't need to find a highly recommended one. You need to find one that shows his work and you need to be a good critique of tattoo work.

See if his corners are sharp, if the shading or colour are right and not patchy. Some artists might be good at one thing and crap at something else so check out the type and style of work you want from that artist.

"4. Does anybody have an idea on cost?

Many thanks for any help and advice. xx"

There is a saying that you get what you pay for, cheap is crap and expensive is good. This is rubbish, i've had some work done by a guy who charges £40 an hour and he's great but just didn't have a big clientel base so was desperate for customers.

But i'd expect anything from £70£80 an hour and upwards because tattooists are highly in demand, even more so at times when it gets sunny because people start wanting to get tattoos then and show them off over summer.

I had my first one last week, on my ribs. It felt exactly like what it is - a needle being scratched over your skin but with a bit of a burning feeling as others have said. It was on the border of uncomfortable and painful for me but I have quite a high pain threshold (and it's a small tattoo so didn't take too long). They recommended Benpanthen or unscented Palmers cocoa butter twice a day. The choice of tattooist was easy for me - a couple of friends have a studio and their work is excellent. It's near Stoke so may be too far for you but if you're interested I can pm you.

A lot of places not too bad, sensitive areas it hurts like a b@stard.

Avoid alcohol the day before if poss.

If it's a small tattoo you should be ok. I tend to do full day blocks... After 3 hours it's sore

About £50 ph avarage

I've got a tattoo on my right thigh going onto my butt cheek and across the top of my fanny (the pubic mound) Pain wise as it was a few hours I found it stung a bit when it was going over my hip bone but stung more on the fleshy part of my bum and the fanny but that could've been due to the length of time I'd been having it, towards the end I was just willing it to be over!

Hey honey,

Thank you so much for taking the time to respond to all my little queries. Especially re cost as I had no clue! I'm guessing size-wise, it's approximately 3" square? I don't know what this equates to on an hourly rate, but I'd like lots of detail and shading.

Thank you again hon; much appreciated.

To me it feels like Colouring in with a very hot, very sharp blade. I tend to get my tattoos done in one hit so once outlined they move onto colouring in. It can get a bit sore after a few hours as they are constantly wiping away excess ink off the the same wounded areas and continuing to tattoo them.

The groin isn't the most painful area to have done imo.

I don't use bepanthen anymore. I discovered Vaseline intensive repair moisturiser. My tattoos heal in half the time with that.

Yes you can stop. It probably best to try to sit for the outlining and then go back for the colouring if you're struggling.

For something delicate and pretty I imagine you'll cope for it in one sitting though.

I don't know why but this is something I never see posted when folk ask for tattoo advice... SO many factors affect how sore it'll be, not just the area.

I find the week before my period everything hurts more. And some tattooists are just more gentle than others! I've got a large piece on each forearm, one was a walk in the park and the other I was sure I was going to die!

I have quiet a lot of tattoos in various places my largest being a thight piece which took around 6-7 hours in total , yes it hurts a little but by no means is it the kind of pain that brings tears to your eyes , remember tho your pussy is a sensitive area so it may hurt more than one on your arm or your leg .

With regards to a tattooist you get what you pay for a good tattooist you should be paying between 70-100 a hour in our opinion

My next one is a full sleeve we both think tattoos are so sexy on women it's a form of art

Good luck , and we hope to see pics

..

Describing tattoo pain to anyone from your own is experience is fruitless.. Everyone's pain threshold is different, each body part has a different level and how you're feeling on the day effects it too, how relaxed you are can make a massive difference as can being ill or like a lady up there said on your period... Even having been the gym the day before..

I only use bepanthen if it's itchy.. Otherwise I just leave it alone.. That's actually best.. As it's an open wound.. I have about 40 hours work on me.. And each place has felt different.. Lower spine being the worst, but I was ill the day I had it done... and lower rib had me squirming for the first 5 mins. I have my while lower abdomen done.. And most artists will tell you its one of the most painful places to have done.. But its wasn't for me.. I was very relaxed and actually fell asleep. . . But it could have the next person tapping out after an hour. It's very much a personal experience.

"Oh and be well rested and hydrated with a good meal inside you.. No alcohol on the day or day before.,. And buy some bepanthen for the itchy healing process...

and start saving.. Because they become addictive

I was told to use Palmers cocoa butter instead of bepanthen, healed very very well, quickly and brightens the color

Tattoos are always gonna hurt, cant escape that. I am a massive pussy when it comes to pain but my two were the best things ive ever done! Mine i can only describe as cat scratches, outlines were easy but filling was bit more sore but all part of the experience and you need to embrace it

..

Describing tattoo pain to anyone from your own is experience is fruitless.. Everyone's pain threshold is different, each body part has a different level and how you're feeling on the day effects it too, how relaxed you are can make a massive difference as can being ill or like a lady up there said on your period...
