"t least 12 people including four Europeans were killed on Sunday after gunmen opened fire at a beach resort in Ivory Coast, according to a police source.

It happened at the L’etoile du Sud complex in Grand Bassam, a resort popular with Western tourists, some 40 kilometres east of the country’s main city, Abidjan.

Eyewitnesses speak of at least four heavily-armed gunmen opening fire on tourists on the beach.

Local reports also suggest the assailants were masked and carried grenades."

Trouble in Ankara too, hopefully not related, both tragic wastes of lives though. I simply wouldn't travel to places of that kind of instability. Crazy tensions there!

Although I do think economics and political reasons plays a huge part in a lot of these atrocities
