Bloody automatic car lights

Again. Switched themselves off when it was light enough this morning.

It was foggy and didn't realise at first they had turned off.

Think I need to put them on manual for the time being

I always have my lights on, and if my car had automatic lights id put it on manual anyway.

They are a total nuisance. The amount of people that tell me my lights are still on when I lock the car is so annoying.

Wish people would turn them off when not needed, some are so bright now they are more of a danger/distraction

The automotive industry seems to excel at providing solutions to problems that don't exist.

Others I hate include;

Self locking doors - I was checking something under the bonnet for tres and the car locked itself with the keys in the ignition and engine running - had to crowbar the door and get a coathanger in to unlock it.

Electric parking brake - you need a laptop and software to retract the caliper so you can change the brake pads. What about if you need to reverse up a hill, say, when reverse parking?

Intelligent battery charging - mate of mine had to pay £260 to have his battery changed at the dealer, as only they have the software to re-set the system and calibrate it for the new battery.

Any of these are deal breakers for me, I won't buy a car that has them.
