Go down the pub by myself. I moved not long ago, never been to the local pub, but bored of sittinfnin on my own. Do I dare try the pub or will it be full of strange people

Walk in holding a clipboard and a pen and pretend to take notes and someone will be bound to introduce themselves and make you feel most welcome...

Probably get a free drink too .... and maybe a free bar meal......

My friend always tells me I need to do this as it's the only way I'm going to get to know people.... I've not braved it yet though xx

There is a website where you can join local groups to get to know people.

There are all kinds of groups, including non vanilla ones. I joined a local social group to try and meet new people but it was mainly women
