What sort of decision process leaves a kid like Ben basically begging for answers...

The shame rests with many people....

Yeah truly heart-breaking

But it's not just policy makers to blame .....

It every twat who doesn't turn up for an appointment...... its every arsehole who clogs up A&E with a minor aliment or because they've fallen over pissed........

It's every NHS employee who nicks something from the stores or throws in a sickie because they want an extra day off....

But no-one cares too admit stuff like that is partly to blame for Kids like Ben getting fucked over...

Well said it is also junior doctors who do not think when they go on strike taht it affects the lives of children like Ben.

One of our grandchildren had an operation cancelled due to the junior doctors strike.

Not life threatening but it would have saved her a hell of a lot of pain.

The health system is ironically our sickest and sadly looks unlikely to be able to heal itself.

I agree.....

Sometimes a forceful approach is required when an unwilling patient won't swallow a bitter pill ....

But that tie's up more resources and results in other patients being left unattended ......

Sadly it looks increasingly apparent job preservation rather than patient care is dominating the NHS aliment list ......

Ive said this many times. I worked in a busy hospital and the amount of money spent on downright ridiculous things you wouldnt believe and they are just things i witnesed.

That's a hugely important issue often overlooked by those pointing a finger of blame.......

It's a shame that because the operation was privately funded through donations that they'd have to pay for all of the recovery physio as well.

Our son also has cerebral palsy and I'm hoping there may be some sort of miracle operation that can help him in the future.

One thing i witnessed time and time again people having meetings for about 10 peope. They would have outside caterers and all fancy nibbles and fancy sandwiches, water, orange juice, tea and coffee and youve never seen so much fruit. When they could of had tea, coffee and a biscuit. If every meeting in every hospital laid on that much food they could be buying equipment and dont start me off on pot plants
