Yeah Sunderland had one not so long back .......

I never went, but by all accounts it was a fun day,,,,

I think most people who went would Sunderland would also attend Newcastle Pride which is a far more established event......

I was at Dublin Pride a few years ago and for many reason it was a more impassioned event.... but no less fun....

Last time I went to Brighton I enjoyed the parade and I enjoyed the atmosphere in Brighton afterwards but the bit in Preston Park was shit. Full of pissed up and drugged up chavs and felt quite moody.

I've done Brum a few times when I lived there but now it charges a ridiculous amount just to get on to Hurst street where all the bars are

Went with my bro when he first came out, I got more attention than he did, which made me laugh, because while he was still in the closet, he got more women than I did, it was payback time lol

Andover

Went to Brighton and Birmingham Pride last year.

Enjoyed both but LOVED Brum.

As mentioned, it's not cheap but runs for the best part of three days so if you make a weekend of it it's decent value.

Already booked the hotel for this year.

I usually end up performing at it but over the last few years, try to get a gig out of town to avoid it.

It's not what it once was :-/

I will be at Essex and Norfolk/Suffolk Pride this year, I'll be helping out on a stall during the day, then partying at night.

I was also going to be at Luton Pride doing the same thing, but that has just been cancelled again.

Manchester Pride on August Bank Holiday. We go every year and stay the whole weekend. Worth every penny, horse voice, blister and broken nail.

Once the march was followed by a party in one of the big parks, it mixed political and party perfectly. Now it's a street piss up.

The organisers seem only interested in corporate sponsors, shying away from anything political. Local performers are asked to audition (?!) and they refuse to have anything to do with Jeremy Joseph (who owns G-A-Y). He's a bit shady but is good at bringing in big pop star names. When the nation's capital Pride has Sinita as a headliner....well...

I live and work in Londons gay scene and dont know anyone who attends these days. Smaller cities and towns are pulling off better events

I totally forgot the park! I went in the mid 90's and it was brilliant. Massive festival type thing, I loved it. I went again a couple of years ago but it was just the march.

Also been to the St Christopher St parade in Berlin which was great.

I found it more inclusive and more low key than the one in Manchester.
