Tokyo Laundry do similar tops to Superdry but I've not had them so don't know how the quality compares. Fenchurch is a decent enough brand, easy enough pick up cheapish.

I love Superdry as it has a great fit. Have to go for XL or XXL but unlike most brands they don't assume that means your fat so tops are big enough on the shoulders without being baggy around the waist. Simple as that.

And they run their own eBay outlet where everything last season is half price.

I bought a nice rugby style top in there last year. XL. Bloody skin tight. Even XXL was too bloody small. Blimey who is able to actually fit into anything S or M ?? Their sizes are WAY out! (any yeah I know I'm a fat bugger but really!?)

I bought 4 off (4 x £49.99) their checked tartan shirts in December, the material is excellent, they are thick and very warm and im glad I bought 4 off rather than just one.

I went back and bought another thinner shirt (red checked tartan) at £44.99 last week. they are excellent quality and tight cut.

I am normally a large in shirts but with these you need to go a size bigger - XL, and if you have any fat or you are large around the waist then you are best avoiding, these shirts and the shop style is slim fitting or should I say, most clothes are for people with slim waist

I used to.be one for wearing brand names, but I no longer feel that the price tag, justifies buying them, I once paid over £100 for a t-shirt, three days later I caught it in a door handle within 3 hours of putting it on and ripped a big hole in it. I find primarks tshirts decent, and s good fit, and for under 3 quid, I can buy loads in different colours, and wear what suits my mood, ill only buy brands now if its something I really like, or ill find a non brand alternative

The Japanese are getting really pissed off with copyright infringement these days, I know a few of the companies that make cosplay items have their documents available to stop people selling counterfeit versions of their stuff when traveling to comic con around the world, and the have the goods seized on the spot if the see it

We have a shop near us that sells last season stuff. Managed to swag two check shirts for £12 that fit lovely.

I like to live a well dressed life and shop for fit and style. I don't have a brand I favour just something that looks good on me.

Where I work I can buy a cashmere scarf at cost £3...now go and look at how much Burberry charge for a cashmere scarf...yes..we make Burberry scarfs...you pay alot just for the name. Both products are made from the same yarn,just different names on the labels.

You might reject this idea out of hand but go to an affluent area and search the charity shops. Do this regularly and you'll have a range of good quality, often new clothes that have cost you a fraction of their original price.

I only ever buy designer labels from outlets. Wembley, Bicester or Portsmouth. I have gone as far as Braintree and Ashford. I visited Cheshire Oaks when I was up that way once.

Superdry actually have an eBay shop which is cheaper than the outlets I've been too, and they sell all there test designs on there too, the ones that are design samples and never made it to the shops, they list them as "unique samples". I've got lots of Superdry but have only ever bought one or two things from an actual store cause I refuse to pay so much when you can get things over £100 cheaper in their eBay shop.

I tend to agree with that and that's why in my Surfing years back in late 80's I refused to wear Billabong & Quicksilver. But I like the material used in Superdry shirts and cannot find same quality elsewhere

For jeans have a look at Nudie, they may cost a little more than other brands (some good bargains on eBay) but the quality is amazing and they offer a free repair service. I've had a pair 11 years

Hmm sounds like they'd be great for C. He has a very unusual shape so finds it hard to get clothes that fit properly. He cannot find a suit jacket anywhere that looks good as he has 42" shoulders and 29" waist...

Yep, exactly this.

All this "your a corporate sell out unless you make all your own clothes out of hemp you grew in your garden or purchased direct from a sustainably grown yak farmer" crap means nothing to me.

Ive got market tat hanging next to designer kit in the wardrobe and the only thing that matters is does it fit and do like the way it looks.

And nothing I have ever found is as likely to fit well as the Superdry stuff. It's made well too.

I've never understood the allegiance to overpriced design houses.

I used to like The Gap black jeans purely because they fitted well and were good quality. They don't manufacture that style or have the same quality anymore hence I don't buy from The Gap anymore. Same goes with Levi's 501s and Dockers.

I am much better off buying a pair of Kirkland jeans or chinos from Costco for £10 nowadays

Got myself a hundred odd quids worth of jacket and a hoodie that's still currently in the shops at £45. Both still had the manufacturers labels on and the pair cost me about £18 at the charity shop. Winner never pay full price on stuff like that. Why? Your just chucking hood money away...Seems stupid and if you have the confidence to feel good wearing charity shop clothes why not.

I'm not against brands are per se because if I like the look of an item of clothing I'll buy it whether it's Joe Bloggs or Versace. I don't buy clothes because of the brand. I buy clothes because of the design and how it looks. All SuperDry clothing I've come across has been bog standard clothing with SuperDry written on it. I don't get it

H & M and Topman do some lovely stuff, my son isn't a fan of brands though he does like the superdry shirts with the little unnoticeable writing, more the feel of the material than the brand.

I gues it depends what items your talking about.

When it comes to the more casual stuff, a t shirt is pretty much a t shirt and a hoodie is a hoodie. Not much to get right or wrong but with the tailored stuff like the fitted jackets and shirts, I find the stuff to be in a different league to River Island or Top Shop stuff.

Everyone gets their kit made abroad on the cheap. We all know that.

But there is a limit to the level I think it's reasonable to exploit others for my own gain and with he issues Primark have had with child labour in the past (yes, I know hey have made assurances that they have rectified the issue) I draw the line at Primark.

I don't ask anyone else to so I'm not climbing on my high horse to deride others for their clothing choices. Just expressing mine.
