I don't know if you feel the same but personally I'm getting a little tired of seeing the same old forumites posting all the time..

Can they move over and allow some newbies to speak up and give their opinions... It might help if they were to change Avatar's occasionally, so we don't keep seeing the same faces...

Agree?, come on newbies, speak up!

Sorry but you're talking out of your arse. The forums are a community within a community and from my limited experience of posting/lurking on the threads has mostly been a good experience. Nobody is excluded and even people being a dick get treated (generally) with a modicum of respect. The forums are just like the other areas of Fab and you only get out as much as you're willing to put in.

In fact when a newbie starts a thread i think you will find most regulars welcome them and ask them to stay and join the fun.

Ive actually got several newbies to start using the forums who have messaged me

I'm not really a newbie, and I post here and there, but often I get ignored... you make the forums what you want it to be. So if you want to become the "next generation" of forumites, just keep posting and we'll get a idea of how you think and people will often choose to follow your threads either agreeing or disagreeing.

Nobody needs to move over, just dive in and make your own space. It's quite cosy once you're in there (that's not my hand btw)

I've been a long time lurker but got to know a few forumites, they're a good bunch - you get out what you put in, but as with anything it takes some time and patience.

We were all newbies in the forums once, takes a while to get noticed usually, but keep chatting.

Of course it takes hardly any time at all to get noticed if you bluster in, throw a diva strop, nark off 90% of the forum attendees and stamp your teeny tiny toes in a tantrum

I agree that it can get a little boring on here at times but I have a choice to start my own threads, carry on as I am or log off for a while ~ I usually choose the latter.

The fluidity of people coming & going is what's needed to keep the forums fresh.

It's even worse though when you post something and then someone else posts almost verbatim the same thing as discussed with everyone latches onto the other person's comment.

There's a "secret" code in the website, at certain times your keyboard defaults to invisible font.

You can see what you write, no one else can.

It would make my day if I was branded a protagonist in this instance...

In-fact I almost pulled a face mimicking my amusement.... but before I could manage it my left eyebrow resigned and left me looking all lope sided....

Which in all honesty is probably less inflammatory than pissing my pants laughing at the gapping anomalies of a thought process that would concur with the concerns raised in opening post...

What a great start to the day....

Having been on and off here under various guises over a period of 5 or so years I can empathise somewhat with the OP...

However as the saying goes 'you've got to be in it to win it' so I suggest more posts on whatever subject you like, contribute as you see fit and try not to be too controversial... Stick to the 'kiss, fuck, avoid' and 'fab my pics' posts and you won't go far wrong

I would say avoid those threads as they really are quite incestuous. Funny how we all view things differently. Also i would say don't be afraid to give your opinion no matter how controversial as long as you do it without resorting to personal insults.. Which some are incapable of doing.

No one is stopping anyone posting; what do you suggest? Banning members once they have been listing here for 3 months?

Rationing the number of posts?

It's an Internet forum; they are all like it; it is what it is; people come and go; new people join, some go away (permanently, or temporarily).

Some people are funny, some are clever, most are nice, some are arses

Some of us are all of the above depending on the day.

There are people who start here, and are complete arses; then change after awhile ( there was someone who I originally though was a complete c**t, and now I see them very differently ).

You can't police this, except preventing ( reporting ) extreme antisocial behaviour....

I am a member of several Internet forums; this is one of the better, more well behaved ones....

I was actually being mildly sarcastic ...

Seeing as those threads are the ones that people seem to contribute to most often... Plus you don't require much of an insight into what the OP's were thinking when they posted them...

At the end of the day if people find a post interesting they will comment..

But they will also jump on anything that threatens to out them as small minded individuals... Hence the pack mentality...but that's just my opinion by the way

I amuse myself and occasionally others let's face it it is about me ,interesting posts/threads by people who know the meaning of a debate are few and far between ,many get personal and then the thread becomes unattractive to most but more attractive to some the fab ,kiss fuck and kick out ,pic and any thread by an attractive woman threads will always be popular ,I'm all for new people but the new ones tend to get pounced on ce la vie

"Even regulars get ignored. We're just talking to ourselves most of the time.

It's even worse though when you post something and then someone else posts almost verbatim the same thing as discussed with everyone latches onto the other person's comment.

Oh mr witch doctor....you are so wise....how do you come up with such intuitive statements?"

"I don't know if you feel the same but personally I'm getting a little tired of seeing the same old forumites posting all the time..

Can they move over and allow some newbies to speak up and give their opinions... It might help if they were to change Avatar's occasionally, so we don't keep seeing the same faces...

Agree?, come on newbies, speak up!

There's not a limit on how many posters we can have. Everyone is perfectly able to join in if they wish. There's no need to move over, no-one is stopping anyone else posting. The whole point of a public forum is to allow everyone contribute. I'm not sure why you think the regular posters should be quiet.

If you're tired of the same old faces then find some new ones. I'm not sure I've come across quite such an odd post for a while. If the regulars didn't post the forum wouldn't move. Newbies are very welcome.
