Started my divorce proceedings today!! Forms all done and sending off in the morning!!

Scary feeling doing something so serious and grown up but so glad I'm finally getting rid of something that made me so unhappy!!

Just wanted to share here as can't elsewhere!!

Thank you, I don't really know anyone that divorced (well not close to me) so I have no experience of any of this, I hope it is straight forward xx

Having not long gone through the big "D" myself, painlessly. I hope yours is too. As long as you are both in agreement to everything and there are no disputes anywhere then it should all be fairly plain sailing. Good luck and I hope yours is a smooth going as mine.

Thank you all for the support and info, I don't see any reason for it to have any hiccups, we've sorted everything out financially and with the boys xx

Lol we're not married Ali is she's in the midst of divorcing her (soon to be ex) husband. So yes we'll both still be here so you're stuck with us I'm afraid

Mine was relatively pain free, but its never nice.

Try to keep your sanity, and remember its the start of a whole new chapter in your life.

Do not rush into anything, take your time to get used to being single again.

Take care

I see and that makes sense, its good to be away from the ex totally. Nice to have you both on the forum

Hope all goes well. If both parties are in agreement and you do it yourself then it's just the court fees

You state about doing something grown up. Wasn't getting married in the first place grown up ?
