One of us has had numerous surgical procedures leaving extensive scarring & lumps & bumps to the back. This causes some insecurities when naked ie jacuzzI or getting naked in changing rooms. Also how to broach this subject prior to a meet. Just curious how people would feel regarding this if you were on a meet & someone tried explaining this to you? xx

Why do you feel you have to? We all have imperfections and if i noticed someones scars i wouldnt give it a second though. Cause unless you brought it up it would be none of my business xx

The only time scars would bother me would be if they were new and looked sore - I would be worried about hurting the person. Apart from that scars don't put me off or need explaining. They can be really sexy and interesting. I'd never ask someone unless I knew them well why they had them, but would probably be curious if they wanted to tell me. We all have our own lumps, bumps and marks which show we have lived. If they bother you then warn people before you meet in a 'You'll probably notice when we meet so I feel I should warn you...' kind of style. I doubt many will care and if they do they can bugger off

I can't help you with the insecurity the solution to that lies within yourself. As far as meeting goes mention it on your profile if you feel comfortable with that if not mention it early on in messaging.

Almost everybody will be fine with scars

Myself, I have a rather large scare from my chest to my groan and lime you I was really self conscience at first. But then I found myself able to live with it more and more as I made jokes about it. Every one is different, but I used to say I was Ripley's crew mate and survived lol

I have a lot of scars myself, I have put this on my profile so if people wish to not meet and are that shallow that's up to them! My scars do not reflect my personality!

It's there decision and not worth worrying about! Xx

I have a lot of scars myself, I have put this on my profile so if people wish to not meet and are that shallow that's up to them! My scars do not reflect my personality!

It isn't fair to call people shallow if they won't meet due to scars.

A few people have mentioned this in years gone by and most respondents regarded such life participation experiences as fairly unimportant.

I'd only like to know if it might have a major impact upon sex but would also see it as something that's possibly very personal and private for someone. It's very subjective - a big scar to one person is invisible, just a skin tone, to another.

I think that the better outcome is for you ops to become more self-accepting of your uniqueness. I'd be happiest if you were carefree, in jacuzzis and public areas. A little like happiness, people who are comfortable as themselves, it's contagious and I'd hope my tolerance for my own imperfections rubs off too.

Another option is to just meet at clubs or places where others can see you, so that no explanations are in your minds.

Overall I think most of us know that all of us are perfect just as we are.

Can understand it,got a fairly recent scar from a very traumatic,life threatening event,still kinda bothers me,could be a surprise if people weren't expecting to see them on a meet?

We are both totally bonkers to be honest and hope our personalities outshine any imperfections just self conscious when naked in front of someone for the first time we have done clubs and upto yet no one has commented on them and feel so confident in clubs tbh whilst dressed just the naked thing

I have a hip to hip scar from a full tummy tuck. Everyone knows I had it, I get undressed in front of people, and people ask and say how fantastic I now look (see profile pic). I'd rather the scar than the big hanging tummy! Its part of me, its made me happy and anyone who finds it a turn off should be ashamed, as it took a lot of guts to decide to do it after a big weight loss. I do wear lingerie to cover it in clubs but its not held me back x

I would love a tummy tuck. 3 c-secs have taken its toll and add the weight loss...Ugghh. I hate it hate it hate it!

I don't personally find scars a turn off but some people do, why do you feel they should be ashamed? We can't help our visual triggers and as long as people aren't rude, unkind or spiteful about it I can't see a problem

Well done, know exactly how you feel I had a tummy tuck awhile ago. Best thing I ever did after my weight loss! Breasts are next! Lol X

Because every person who has a big scar has a pretty big story to go behind it. Some scars are there because they saved that persons life. If someone sees someone for their scar rather than the person they've probably been chatting to beforehand (as not many of us instantly jump into bed without at least a quick chat) then I think its shallow. I personally tell people if they don't know beforehand and they say 'its not the scar I fancy, I fancy the person I'm talking to'

Yes I agree about scars telling a story I have one from spinal surgery but when I'm meeting for no strings sex I wouldn't think worse of someone who preferred not to meet me because of it.

Mine isn't, it's a sign that because of it I am now able to walk and if I could have avoided it and everything that went with getting it I would have.

Yup. C has a big scar on his shoulder from boiling water going over him as a kid. A lot of people ask about it but had no negative reactions. Scars are part of life and I'm sure most people won't be bothered at all.

I have lots of scars that never ever get mentioned by myself or my meets .. I dont think they even notice . They're part of life and nobody is perfect
