Last night on Rachel Maddow her interview was with a security expert and they were talking about Isis.

He said that we should start referring to them as the Hawadage(sic), not as Isis or Daesh, as it identifies them as a cult and they really hate it.

So I thought any time I tweet or leave a comment online about Isis I'd start using it - but I don't know how to spell it, Google came up with nothing.

Phonetically he pronounced it "ha-wad-aj".

Does anyone know the word he means?

He said that calling them Daesh doesn't bother them - but that the Hawadage(sic) were an extremist cult off-shoot and that being called it really annoys them.

But I need to know how to spell it before I can start to use it!

Rachael is wonderful - perhaps look up the show's site and see if you can find the guest list - and the guy's link may reveal his pet thought. (not fluffy ones etc).

I'm disinclined to refer to them, as the less energy given over to their cause, the better.

Love her

Found him on Twitter now, I'll see if that gets me my word of the day.

Hawdaj is a word, I think. I recognise it but don't know where from or what it means.

Ok, apparently hawdaj is Arabic for the travelling carriages carried on the backs of elephants!

Maybe not that then...

I don't think annoying the crazed, beheading, machine gun toting, suicidal religious extremists.... Is the greatest plan I've heard.

If we really really wanna annoy them, why don't we just call them atheists
