Hey just wondering if anyone has done the long drive from John O' Groats (top of Scotland) to Landsend (bottom of England) I'm wanting to do it just for fun and because I love driving! If so, how long did it take you and what car did you do it in?

I've been to them both locations back in the day when they openly displayed notice boards giving details of the various record attempts for making the journey....

Someone told me they no longer encourage people to attempt breaking any of the motor powered records .....

Enjoy the trip.....

Bedfordshire

I've done Hertfordshire to NE Scotland 567 miles door to door. Quickest time was 9 1/2 hours as I drive down on NYE over night. Not quite Lands End to JOG ....

The Garden of Eden in Beautiful North Wales

I done Wrexham to Achnasheen in just under 24 hours, I think it was about 900 and summat odd miles. It was one hell of a drive but I got £200 for a days work sitting listening to the radio with as many stops as I wanted.

Dunfermline

I've done Helensburgh to Plymouth 520 miles in just under 5 1/2 hours. Needles to say I wasn't overly worried about the speed limit.

Good suggestion. I want to do this partly to admire the beautiful scenery so I may just do that

I'd just like to point out that it was from Wrexham to Achnasheen and back.
