What made your Mothers Day so special??

Mine was the kids going & choosing their own gifts for me then the cold toast I was served in bed this morning.

Ive had a quiet day as had to pospone plans but spoke with my so and mum its been nice actually and ive got bunches of tulips, daffidils and basket planter of primroses and mini daffs to look at

Fruit breakfast fresh coffee and generally letting me sit on my bum all day. The card saying im techinically a superhero without a cape made me laugh too

I've been provided with endless cups of coffee, hand fed chocolates, given a hand made card with a really lovely personal "poem" written inside by my youngest.

Eldest came home & started winding him up!!!

Spending quality time with my kids .As they get older and find partners the time we spend together gets less and less.

Today, they both went out of their way to make sure we had a few hours together. No present comes close to that.

One very happy momma here. Xx

Mother's Day ... and not a card in sight!

But a bunch of flowers and thoughtful messages of how my kids appreciate the things I helped them with over the years. I guess I have shaped them a bit... and then again.. they have shaped me into the person I am today.

I really liked the messages (and the flowers, of course) but I get nice messages throughout the year not just on Mother's Day.

And sometimes, I get angry messages when seomthing has gone wrong in their lives. That's cool, too.

At the end of the day - it is a bit of a life long bond!

breakfast in bed and a lie in!

also had a very original, thoughtful and unique hand made mothers day card and a big box of lindor chocs, then spent the afternoon with family, so all in all a lovely day

I went and bought new trainers and did a 10km hill walk.

My mother sent me an email whinging that I didn't send her a present. But since I was out enjoying myself, I just deleted it!

It will be my one live baby's birthday and the anniversary of his death this week. Sometimes Mothering Sunday coincides with the date and I find that hard. One of the midwives used to give me flowers every Mothering Sunday with a note to say that she remembered I was a mother.

I am lucky that I have children in my life who call me their extra mummy and give me hugs and kisses every day.

Easter just around the corner!

I had a lovely day,I was told to get back in bed as they were doing my breakfast,then I opened some pressies. A wonder around town and out for tea plus I didn't have to tell them to put their phones away too much . It was probably the first time of their own backs that they made me feel special. It kinda makes up for all the not so great times since we adopted them,I'm proud at times to be called their mum.

It was lovely because my eldest who lives with his fiancee spent the whole day with me. My boys bought me perfume and we had a meal out. I really enjoyed today.

2 bunches of flowers, chocolates, a cushion and some chocolate chip biccies, all bought with their own pennies!! Lovely handmade cards and one shop bought by my eldest. Breakfast on the sofa as stayed at theirs last night.

The ex husband then went out if his way to make me a delicious three course meal!!

Had a lovely day, sad I had to come home to an empty house

I didn't expect to get anything from my teens, but my daughters card cracked me up ... sometimes I hate you, but most of the time I love you .... sort of sums teenagers up. Heard my oldest is coming home in July after a her of travelling and we had a lovely meal out with the other two. Is there light at the end of the teenage tunnel after all?

My absolute heartache at not having my own birth child was very hard to cope with at times,years of fertility treatment takes a toll on your whole life. So many times I thought the only way I can stop feeling like this is if I'm not here. You must have gone through ten times more than myself x

My daughter got terrible food poisoning and spent most of the day in hospital and the rest if it in bed ill

Since I was down with my partner I didn't mind too much, her boyfriend looked after her. I got a "love you" message when she was feeling better.... about half an hour ago lol.

Had a major falling out with all my daughters last week, my youngest moved out after they claimed I sided with my other half (who they loathe).

My eldest sent a card and a text, my other two daughters stopped by with cards, flowers and chocolates.

Can't begin to express how happy I've been all day. Never fallen out with my girls before. Bottom line I'm still mum and they know they're my number one but I couldn't allow my son in laws to deck him (again).

I received three cards and gifts but I've given birth four times. My son didn't make it and his death almost destroyed me and killed my marriage. I can't begin to comprehend losing ten.

I was gifted two fruit trees & a bag of exotic foodie goodies. I prepped dinner .... my son cooked it, and all the while I sat with my feet up watching MY mum with her feet up drinking wine.

Being together as a family to scatter my Mums ashes was so hard this morning, but:

Spending the rest of the day with them all was really special

My teenage tearaway was very well behaved and even supportive and very loving and actually wanted to spend time with us today

PP's youngest two bought me Mothers Day gifts out of their pocket money which was just the loveliest and sweetest of gestures

All in all, I have a lot to be thankful for!

I got a messenger message from each of my eldest 2 and a homemade card and a plant from my youngest.

S'ok though, birthdays are coming soon. I wonder if a text message from me would suffice.
