I am a man of 26 and I've been lucky enough to be brought up being rich I like everything expensive but get told that I shouldn't live like that but why if I have it I only get one life why shouldn't I be able to live like I do also trying to find someone else like myself but proves very difficult and I think people find my honesty brutal that's why I find it difficult to connect with anyone !!!

Love the way you want to live. I've seen both sides of life, growing up comfortably and struggling as a single mum.

Your money, your choice but rubbing what you have, be that wealth, love, health etc, in people's faces does nothing to impress me.

I was brought up well off... I now live a very different life... I never appreciated when I had everything... Now I appreciate having what I so.

Being rich isn't about how much you have in the bank, but how rich your life is in experience and what you give back

Catch 22 bud. If that's all you've ever known having money and the people you associate with have money then that's your class if you like, your identity. Your not being rude just being yourself.

However flip the coin..

People could say you should humble and realise spending 20.00 on toilet roll is not viable. My mates tell me all the time. Just have to understand people without money will not see the same world that you do.

Looks like it. Along with a not so subtle pulling strategy of trying to impress potential partners with claims of wealth.

You seem very self aware which is always a good thing in understanding why you have certain issues.

With regard to wealth we're inclined to count ours in terms other than monetary but that doesn't make you wrong.

I've been privileged to spend time living amongst people who were clinging to the edge of existence and for who each day consisted of nothing more than the ordeal survival.....

Whenever I meet people lavishing themselves with opulent indulgence in a way that suggests they feel a genuine sense of entitlement I find myself unable to connect with them...

why not stop thinking money is the everything of cause its nice to have nice things, be able to afford treats but putting things into perspective.lovely to go to a big fancy restaurant but equally as lovely to share a bag of chips on the sea front.

Walking in the countryside on a lovely spring day watching the lambs in the fields, all the best things don't have to cost money.

It must be nice to be rich and privileged but nicer to appreciate things in many forms.

you don't have to follow the crowd to be a nice person, I prefer people with their own opinions whether I agree with them or not but you can still be nice and it depends if they are actually your own opinions or whether your just doing it to cause controversy.

To be honest I think the Op is just looking for bites. Must be very boring and lonely up in his ivory tower, or is it ivory bridge...

As someone who grew up privileged and has had money... Id say I have more now than I ever had growing up.... Experience taught me that I never appreciated all I had when I was younger. Being cut off from the money and having to struggle made me the person I am today.

Op your opinions are fine to have but its never okay to disrespect others or to be hateful

On second thoughts, he might need someone to read it to him.

One of the benefits of being a young person is you can't possibly be expected to possess wisdom beyond your years,,

Young people should be allowed to say daft stuff......

"I am a man of 26 and I've been lucky enough to be brought up being rich I like everything expensive but get told that I shouldn't live like that but why if I have it I only get one life why shouldn't I be able to live like I do also trying to find someone else like myself but proves very difficult and I think people find my honesty brutal that's why I find it difficult to connect with anyone !!! "

I like how you acknowledge you've been lucky enough to have lived in wealth. That to me suggests you are aware of some things and probably not bragging.

You can live like that if you want to. Most people living in poverty or lesser wealth aren't jealous of peoples wealth and don't begrudge them it, just they're often a very neglected part of a system that doesn't work for them and they can find life hard.

I do think there is some awareness of the unfairness of the system and a lot of people don't want to encourage that any more because they have some awareness that poverty is wrong.

I also don't agree with people saying the wealthy should do this, that and the other for charities and that just because they have more wealth. I do think there's more fundamental problems with the monetary system, and everything to with that, and these need fixing. Should you feel guilty for being one of the lucky ones? I doubt it.

You can't connect to people? It is harder to connect to others when you don't need them, being independent can cause this and it is possible it's down to your money but it could be any number of other things also.

I also don't connect to people easily, it's a defeence system for myself though because i don't trust many people, and i don't trust many people because i don't trust myself because i do have things wrong with me that mean i can't be trusted quite yet and i'm also aware anyone can project a false image of themselves.

"I've been told I'm not a nice person but why is it because my opinions don't go along with the majority of opinions on here I don't like to follow the crowd I like to have my own mind and don't mind if people have different _iews to mine doesn't make mine wrong "

It bothers you far more than you admit that people consider you nasty.

"You'd think with all that money you could treat us all to a few commas and full stops."

Or got an education that could have explained to you what they are, and how useful they can be.......

I'd invest in some commas, full stops, semi colons and exclamation marks!

'Real rich' people don't normally brag about their wealth.

This is what I think.

You've been here before, many times, under many guises. You post inflammatory threads regarding subjects you know get a reaction on here. You want the attention because you're lonely and feel worthless. I'll be your friend.

I think you will find that should be 'you are' or you're but not 'your'. It maybe that you don't need a middle classed job... but a friendly suggestion that perhaps spend some of your (correct use of the word your) wealth would well be spent on some grammer lessons. Xxx
