"We have the polystyrene tiles at work I do have ornate coving and ceiling roses. I live in a very old house and would be terrified that the ceiling would come down if they were ever removed. I still have original fireplaces in bedrooms too but it's in keeping with the age of the house and I do love them. | |||

"polystyrene ceiling no way dont want molten plastic dripping on you if they catch fire as goes for cornices ive had to save many of them they look really nice. but there a pain to work with sanding them down for a repaint or if they get fire damaged dropping the the center ceiling and replastering it is ackward. painting the cornices and the fancy ceiling rose is another matter when people really want it looking fancy" I can imagine.... | |||
