little house on the praire

I know im not good with techy stuff but my phone has been acting strange all day. Its had no signal all day (i put that down to the weather) but now i have a voicemail and when i try and activate it it says voicmail not allowed. Ive never seen this before and ive just pressed 150 and it says thats not allowed either. Any ideas anyone??

Try turning the phone off then remove the battery and sim card for a few minutes ... this should reboot the system ... failing that it's time for a new moby lol debs xxx

You haven't switched it to Airplane mode by any chance ?

Airplane mode switches of the RF side of things but allows you to play music, games etc on the phone. It would also display a no signal message indicator

I've always had sony ericsson's never had a problem .... paul's just had a nokia N79 which he thinks is fab lol. Strange tho' diamond does sound like it's kaputt xxx

Ok, its showing i have a signal, but i have just checked and i cant do anything. Whatever number i dial it says not allowed. When i try and send a text it says error. When i try and go online it says error. Its not an old phone 18 months ( i know thats old for some of you) but it was fine early this morning

Switch it off... Take out the sim card, clean it (Dry) Leave the phone 10 minutes with no battery and no card in...

Then re-start the phone....

It will work!

Try change it for new sim I had that problem before aswell with a samsung then Nokia viro it worked after that then see new iPhone I had to have it LOL

I'm still using my trusted old Motorola L7 - simple but effective

I kill them quite regularly at work, so I always have a stock of them which I buy from Ebay. Just dump new firmware and flex file and hey presto - my original phone cloned - lovely

Then come the new contract from 02, new phone, sell on Ebay £250 - thanks very much lmfao

Well it's been 10 minutes since her last post. If I was a betting man I'd say that right now she's screaming something incoherent at the phone along the lines of, "you f******g t**t notts. Work you bugger!" then she'll give up, throw it down on the kitchen work surface in a huff, make a cup of tea, tell her SO to bog off when he asks waht's wrong, go watch Eastenders, not get into it coz she's too wound up, pick up the phone again, try and call 150 to find it still won't connect, burst into tears, kick the cat, and then skulk off for a bath (which she won't enjoy coz her phone will fookin ring just as she lowers herself into it) ... if I was a betting man that is.

try to do a phone reset.

Take the battery out WITHOUT switching off. Leave at least 3MINS them put back in and switch on. Will reset fact settings. Not sure if it will but worth a try xx

Well i tried everything everyone said to know avail. Now all of a sudden for no reason its alll come back on again. Just got 12 texts all come through.
