I'm like your cheerleader but I am so proud of you for signing up!!! My first ever event was a sport relief 3 mile after I had done the c25k.

Am doing the 3 miles again this year with some friends that I have made through parkrun.

Oh wicked! Your totally the inspiration and motivation behind this..

Gotta start somewhere, walking a mile is just about my level.

My indoor mile is 20 mins,, so few weeks more walking and id like to achieve the same time outside

little house on the praire

I was looking g to see if I could find my threads when I started my weight !loss journey to see what I was writing at the time I know there was a run of threads going similar to the fit and healthy ones but they where called something else and I don't even know if I started them or if someone else did and I wrote on them. I wanted to show you what I was writing then as I know the sending the s!ow changes was the same as you only I never went near a gym or have any intention of doing so either but I wanted to remember er what I was like in the early days

Im not gonna lie i am loving and encouraged by all the support i get from the Fit & Healthy threads, friends/family on Facebook and my local Slimming World group..

I use it as motivation and it drives me to continue else id feel like im letting others down a smidge..

Im only 2 sessions at the gym in but am loving it. Warm welcome and others are so nice and giving me tips. Already made a few new friends through there.

Good luck, I have been impressed by Evie's achievements over the last few years. Use that inspiration and walking the mile is a great start.

ONLY 2 sessions at the gym ?

Cutie, that's fantastic

You're going about things the right way

Too much, too soon and you'll overdo it.

It's all about small gains

I said to myself i wasnt going to join the gym until id lost 5 stone (making me 25 stone)but joined earlier as i noticed my bingo wings are uber flabby these days to the extent i could just jump off a cliff and glide down lol..

im too heavy for some of the equipment but thats good in a way because i get one to one instruction

Oh I wouldn't worry about that ..... the joy of being involved in something so worthwhile is so intoxicating it's like everyone you meet that day is your new best buddy...

I did the three mile one a few years back, which was a huge achievement for me as walking any distance was a massive thing for me, I raised quite a lot too for the cause.

Good luck xx

I was awarded a blue badge in Oct/Nov time as my mobility was so poor. I since got serious about shifting weight and lost 3 stone. I joined the gym 2 weeks ago and thought 'why not'

If it takes me an hour then it does..

Hoping to do it in less that half an hour.

Trialed the walk today and was tougher than i thought. Kept sinking into mud as the ground was wet.

My time was 30 mins
