"I really liked 4! I know it's a bit off kilter with the rest of them but..dunno. Maybe because of that also. Used to rate 3, but it really hasn't aged well. Prometheus was really interesting also, apart from the mothership thing rolling on top of Charlize Theron, which was a bit silly." I've got the quadrilogy so watched all versions. 3 was better than 4 but only just. Prometheus was a bit poor. But I agree, that was daft.

"Gonna throw my entry in. forbidden Planet Yes it's a reworking of Shakespeare. However Groundbreaking at the time, good effects, some questionable acting (as all good Sci fi movies should have) Plus some tension and plus a young floozie who jumps into bed with lieutenant frank drebbin. Aka a very young Leslie neilson. Great film and scared the pants off me as a kid. " forbidden planet ..alien 3 ..

"Always been fond of Silent Running. And Star Trek 2: the Wrath of Khan. Ooh. Empire. Wall:E?" Oooohhhh. ...silent running....Bruce Dern in what at the time was an odd (but very well made) movie, that could easily have been made today as far as subject matter and ecological views are concerned.
