Ghosts and the after life.....

When my mum died the next day i clearly heard her voice asking me a question.

I am a realist but this really took me back.

It might be your brain kicking in to gear but you have to ask that there are parts of our brain that we do not know anything about .

Even scientists admit there are certain parts of our brain they dont understand ........and certinly dont ignore..

I don't believe in an afterlife, but I do believe in telepathic communication.

I don't believe in ghosts or the after life

I believe life it there to maintain life

We are born to reproduce and die

End of

Once we are dead there is no reason for our spirits to carry on, why would evolution do this? It serves no purpose to life or the planet at all and that's what the cycle of life is all about

They are my views anyway

I have had a few "spooky" experiences, so my experience says otherwise. But I am happier discounting them.

Some things can't be explained yet.

Grantham

Not long after my Mum died I woke up with her sitting on the edge of the bed.

I said "thank god you're here" and she was gone.

The way I look at it OP is if we think we can talk to them and it makes us happy then do it

I had this happen also, its prob just some reaction the brain is having to grief, dunno about after lif etc, twould be great to think that there's more to our existence but who knows eh, as my grandfather always says "shur if there's a heaven, well great, but if there's not shur ya won't know about it anyway"

Yeah they can if your a cynic like me

People see and hear ghosts because they want them to be ghosts, where as somebody like me would always find a logical explanation for anything I saw or heard, because I don't believe there for it can't be a ghost

You can't believe in something you can't comprehend or have no understanding of..but at the same time you can't discount that thing either without tangible evidence to prove otherwise?

I've had a few odd experiences but sometimes our imagination gets the better of us in certain scenarios.

I have had experience of things happening to me that I cant explain with a convincing enough explanation...I would say I was open minded about it

You have to be open minded on these things and possess enough inteligence to think both sides of the right and the wrong......

I don't believe in ghosts but I do like the idea of an afterlife. I hope I come back as a man in my next life, much easier!

I've mentioned this in the forum before, I offer no explanation because I don't have one.

I used to speak to an early morning cleaner at my place of work. I didn't see him for sometime then one morning he was in reception, I said "good morning" and he nodded, that afternoon I saw him cycling away. Next day I mentioned to a colleague that it was nice to see him again she replied that he'd died six weeks before.

No to both.

I just think people see what they want to see.

Reminds me of a story my Dad told me. He was on an aircraft carrier, in the mess having lunch with everyone else. An aircrewman from a Seavixen popped his head around the door and said to the room "See you chaps later!" (paraphase). That was nice of him. Considering he'd just crashed, and not being able to eject out of the bomber's sighting position. Died.

Don't believe in anything like that.

there is nothing to ever prove it happens

James randi has a million dollars for anyone who can prove otherwise.

Peoples personal stories about ghosts are worth as much as a poke in the eye as evidence

No, you live in a house inhabited by demons. As most of us do.
