Hello all,

I was in a Nero shop having a cuppa this afternoon and had never tried to log on to fab from public before, but having ipad with me [and not in a visible location!] I thought I would have a look...

I could search general sites easily on the shop wifi [The Cloud, it is] but my fabswingers search said 'no results'...Do these places 'block' certain sites? I can understand that they do, but just wondering...

Thanks

They generally do block adult sites.

Thanks for info...I can of course see why, though I would imagine people can access through phones easily enough...

Central

There are almost certainly ways to bypass such restrictions, which makes a mockery of them.

Yes I suspect its more to stop accusations of enabling minors to access adult sites.

If you have a session already open in your browser it will let you connect

I rarely close my browser and even if I have fab open already it just won't display

Pretty sure The Cloud blocks. But also that it tells you it has.

I'm in Costa with the cloud and it's fine if you connect before you turn wifi on

You can but connect in some public places but is it wise? I'd use a vpn as a minimum then you can visit from any free WiFi
