Tried to dye my hair ginger in my first year at uni, I got a nice shade of bubble gum pink instead. Not my finest home dye moment. Although I think the 1980s Kylie perm probably aces that little moment.

I once talked a mate into giving me blonde highlights.. Unfortunately my hair was too long and she had brush it forward to get all the bleach applied ... Which resulted in brown hair on top and a flash of bleached blonde every time it was windy weather

I completely ruined my hair a couple of years ago by over colouring and bleaching it....i had to have loads of it cut off....i didn't want short hair so I'm still suffering with really dry ends now but at least it isn't like straw.....oh how i loved my pillar box red hair though

I let my friend attempt to bleach the underside of my hair once to have it dark on top and blonde underneath...It went a nice shade of green..lush!

I was mid-teens and wanted my blond hair to have a hint of gold in the summer sun...it ended up the colour of orange fanta! Not knowing much about hair colours at the time I put a blond dye over it and it just went a lighter shade of orange! Eek

Never had one but the Mullet must come close to the ultimate

Though I do like how it's described as 'business at the front, party at the back'

An ill advised poodle perm in 1987. Just atrocious.

I'm going through it now! Decided to do my own roots I have a section at the front I have dyed white/grey and must have left the bleach on to long because a lot of the hair broke and now I have little tuftyw bits at the front which I have to pin down! good job my hair is naturally curly and I can get away with it! Safe to say I'm booked on with the hairdressers this month!

Many many many years ago I asked my father to pick up a coloured hair mousse in blonde which he did. ..after application I noticed it was very light but thought nothing of it...was out with girlfriend went back to hers for night...half way through night there was a scream..I woke to find that the mousse also included glitter which was now everywhere!!! The gf had a sparkling area which she was not impressed at

Impulsive hair cut decision. From a bum

I looked ridiculous.

Lol I've tryed to go blond but naturally I'm dark brown with red/ginger skin tones so when I try to go blond even with a prof at a hairdressers I and up strawberry blond witch is nice if it wasn't for the fact it brings out my skin blemishes!!!!

My Ice Castle! South Wales

I've had a few over the years.

Tango orange when going from dark to light too quick. Green. Purple accidentally. The perm that caused my hair to go like candy floss!

Home dye kit from brunette to blonde (I know, I know!!) which went orange then tried to revert back and it went a dull green shade, nice

Also permed my naturally curly hair & ended up with the biggest hair ever, looked like a poodle crossed with a lion.!

This was all in the 80's before t'internet existed
