Serial rapist convicted

A serial rapist has been convicted just now locally to me in Derby. He preyed on women in my area through a Dating site and then raped them.

Obviously this is horrific and he's going to be away for a long time . If someone like that is on a normal dating site and meeting women as regularly as he did it would make me think he or someone like him could be on this site.

i presume police check the history on a suspects phone and if there are other sites on there would they contact site administrators (such as fab) and get them to remove profiles and contact people they can see they have met ? Or would they just stick to the people on the site where the incidents have happened ?

In all honesty I think that with the current financial constraints on the police force, combined with individual officers performance targets, if its not going to be used by the cps to prosecute then its unlikely to be investigated.

If the police are investigating crime and saw im the accused internt history meets arranged on other sites they would follow up those leads to try and identify other victims

Every time you meet you run the risk of meeting a nutter, I'm sure there are a few guys like him on here

I've met a few odd balls myself, never been raped but I had one guy hit me

Not sure how you can stop it, sadly it's just the risk we take

I would I imaging a lot of women would never report such a crime because of the stigma attached to meeting men off the internet, they may not want their family or friends to know, more so if it's a sex site than a dating site, maybe such guys rely on that, so maybe even if police did contact other victims they may not be willing to admit it

There are guys who don't respect boundaries on here, yes.

Why do you think we get pissed off when people don't read our profiles or care what we want?

This site bans rapists and even people with a criminal record from using it, but obviously some might sign up and we wouldn't be aware.
