Last night was horrific i cant forget it ever...

I was stepping out the shower half asleep had to be up at 5. I grabbed my towel and as i quickly unfolded it and pulled it towards me trying to beat the cold air.....SPIDER!!!!

I basically threw the big hairy creature onto me

Eeek,

I went caving once it was a jolly hoot .

When we were on the way out I felt a tad itchy.

When I emerged back into the sunlight I was covered in spiders if all sizes

Aghh! I quite like them now though , jolly fly eating chums

Also , one night one of the children woke up so I got up and turned on the light and see a MASSIVE spider on the ceiling above my bed !!!!!!

Can still see where I squashed it

Spiders are cute! I have one that lives in my garage that's about the size of a mouse! I call him George and feed him the occasional woodlouse when I'm sorting my tools

I have a huge phobia of spiders ...I run in the opposite direction and won't even go in the room where the spider is ....has to be removed before I can go in there

Never used to care about spiders but a few years ago there was a spider in my house that wrapped itself around a tennis ball, I literally could only see a tiny bit of the illuminus yellow coloured ball,

Me and my brother stared at it for 20mins and for no reason it decided to leap off the ball & chase us out of my room. The fucker was fast & I never knew I could reach those speeds as a ran away like a pussy

Luckily ma dog decided he would kill it becuase my next course of action was to leave the spider the keys and let him keep the house

Had a small boat as a child and decided to explore a tunnel it had a low ceiling...as I paddled along in the darkness feeling what I thought were tree roots brushing against my face I decided to stop and clean myself.

Torch on and...omg the biggest nest of spiders ever the whole tunnel and I was covered in Web and mums and kids.. never forget the speed that I came out from that place

I don't have a spider story but was in my hotel room in Italy last year and found a scorpion god I had to splat it sorry but I'm not into preserving it for another day

When I was at school we had outside toilets. I was about seven/eight when I went to the loo at break time. As I finished I noticed the biggest spider I've ever seen on the pedestal: I nearly shit myself!

Almost fifty years on, whenever I go to the loo I look at the pedestal before sitting down on the loo.

When I was a kid my bedroom, a tiny box room, was prone to spiders and my dad used to clear them out the bed before I got in it. He made a game out of it, so it was funny and I never thought anything of it.

One night an egg sack must have hatched somewhere and ended up with an 8 inch circle of baby spiders over my window....

My dad used to own a fishing tackle shop with sheds out the back and as you can imagine there was just loads of spiders. I used to play with them never had a fear until one day me and my brother were chasing o huge one and cornerd it. He picked it up and it bit him. His finger swelled up like a balloon and I've not really gone near them since.

Oh had one drop onto my face from behind the sun visor in my car once. Nearly bloody crashed the car.

My daughter and granddaughter where staying here recently and my daughter came running in from the kitchen in panic. " Dad there's a spider she screamed "

Smiling I stood up , marched into the kitchen....saw this thing on the wall.

Then I screamed like a banchee as well....big brave Dad !

I remember when I worked in a high street fashion store, we were unpacking mens shirts to hang up and all of a sudden this big spider crawls out of the chest pocket as I'm hanging it! Absolutely cacked it as we had no clue where the shirts had been made lol

I once went to put my foot in my shoe and something didn't quite feel right...i put my hand in to check that the insole hadn't dislodged and pulled out the biggest spider! To say i panicked would be an understatement! A always shake and tap my shoes before putting them on now.

I'm deathly afraid of spiders but I'd never hurt one. I tend to ignore them if they're far enough away. I'm too afraid of hurting them to attempt to move rhem.

My (ex ) husband once pretended to throw a spider at me and I jerked my head back so hard I hit the wall and knocked myself out!!

As a 9 year old I went into the garage and found a blackboard easel I had when I was really little. A brown paper bag contained the chalks and in it was a big black hairy plastic spider.

Knowing my mum was scared of spiders I tipped it out onto my palm and went into the kitchen to show me mum.

At that point the big spider started to walk up my arm.

I stood rooted to the spot and that started my spider phobia
