what are your simple pleasures

Good evening Fabbers , friends and forumites.

Oh golly gumdrops what a particularly soggy windy evening. Poor pooch and I ended up soggy and jolly windswept.

It was such a promising start to the day. The run rose a magnificent red orb filled the sky . Clouds crimson with the first blushes of the day.

On our sodden walk we talked about getting home and dry. A snuggly evening on the sofa , hot cuppa and music.

So here we are and finally getting some semblance of feeling back in our limbs. One of my little pleasures some delish chocolate hobnobs , other biscuits are available.

This has made pooch and i think , what are our little pleasures in life .

For us

Warm snuggly slippers

Chocolate biscuits

Good music

Lovely walks

So chums our question this evening.

What are the simple pleasures that make you smile ?

Pooch and Taff

This is going to sound weird, but I really like just going outside on a crisp warm day, laying on the grass or on a rock, and just closing my eyes.

I could stay like that for hours.

That's my simple pleasure.

I love walking my dog at 6am, it's all quiet and still. This morning it was gorgeous, frost on the grass but the sun casting a large orange glow. I also like it in the summer when a hot day is forecast. It's starting to get warm then but it still has that freshness still.

Brand new bed linen. (duvet equivalent of snow angels a must on first use)

A beach out of season on a blustery day. Just standing there looking at the sea, hair being chucked about in the wind, listening to the gulls and the waves.

The rare moments I get a warm, cuddly, unhurried morning under the duvet with Number One Chap.

Tea and hot, buttered toasted tea cake.

Picnics.

My stupid dog lying on me thinking she's still a puppy and preventing me from seeing anyone else in the room.

Warm sun on my naked body.

Sparklers, I may be 41 but I still like writing my name with sparklers.
