Profiles that are ritten with paw grammer and spelling misstakes is a rite turn off. It only takes a few seconds to use a spell checker.

Are we being harsh or does anyone else agree?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

If I understand it I'm OK with it. Some people struggle with spelling, but come across as perfectly erudite on meeting.

If I don't understand it I move on.

South East Midlands NOT

Some people will agree, some won't. Personally I prefer a profile which is well written.

Its just another preference as not to meet ....there are hundreds of preferences by hundreds of profiles.

Its a game of statistics and luck . x

I would be more concerned about the person than the spelling on a profile

How come you have 'sum fun' written on your profile?

Perhaps they enjoy mathematical conundrums?

Anyway, they haven't asked for their profile to be judged.

I don't see the big deal.

They're hardly going to speak like that in real life.

Also, they may be dyslexic.

You're not supposed to comment on a specific profile unless invited to.

you mentioned something that was written on their profile, but ignored their question, and its not their profile that is in question, if you follow?

All over the place! Northwesr, , Southwest

I don't want to sound elitist, but if people can't take proper attention to detail when writing, often times they come up short in other areas as well. First impressions are almost everything, and there's no question that a well written profile and messages will always have a greater success rate. This is not an opinion, but a fact, especially for us men that are on the hunt for the opposite sex.

As a trained Proofreader, I never use or even recommend using a Spell Checker.

They are invariably at least 12 months out of date from reality, plus more often than not, are biased towards American English, and often the correct spelling of the word on the associated context can be incorrect.

but what about a badly written profile of a woman, who has other attributes that you find attractive.....would you take your elitist hat off and message her anyway?

As an untrained proofreader it took me about 10 seconds to switch my spell-check to British-English.

I'm intrigued about the '12 months out of date from reality'.

We took great time and effort to write our profile so you can assess whether we are your type. By contrast folks who take only a few seconds and write something like: 'fun couple looking for a right royal spit roast' get blocked by us. Make an effort!

I haven't got a huge gripe about it but you see a status update that has no meaning to it, I often shake my head and think............ Sausage fingers or they are clearly shagging on the keyboard.
