Much more difficult to sell a property worth over £325k in Scotland as buyers have to pay 10% on the purchase price

In Scotland any home in the band between £325,000 and £750,000 now has to pay 10% up in Scotland unlike rest of UK where it is 5%

so if you are buying a home at £500,000 you have to pay up a further £50,000 in property tax

£50,000 is one hell of a lot of cash to consider when purchasing a home

Glastonbury

a) £325-750k is quite a lot for a house anywhere (except London) and might suggest you can pay a little extra tax

b) you (or perhaps Scotland) voted SNP, so that's what you get
