So you wouldn't believe it my appendix burst last week and had to have an emergency op, also got peri tinnitus got a bloody great scar running up my abdomen, had to go back into hospital due to my wound becoming infected which I belie isn't uncommon.

I feel really tender and am looking for suggestions for light eating things easy to digest

How awful! Glad you're on the mend. Food wise I'd say fish chicken, rice, plenty of fibre to avoid the dreaded post op and painkiller induced constipation. Do you like things like fromage frais, yogurt etc?

Do a Google search for IBS diet recipes. They are light and contain low amounts of the things that your digestive system will react to.

But... Your discharge people should have given you a diet sheet.

Manuka honey in warm water with lemon juice and chicken broth. Baby food got me through a bad time when I really struggled to digest food.

I'm 2 weeks post op and I also got a wound infection. Was put on antibiotics yesterday. I got strep A with the previous op whilst I was still in hospital.

I've been eating normally, have done with all my ops, but clear soups, fish, skinless chicken, skinless spuds are good. I've been eating salmon and tuna salads too.
