"I hate the term It's trendy to be geeky it would appear It's almost something to aspire to these days " You can be geeky about any subject - if you're passionate about something you're geeky. "Me being abit a geeky myself was just wondering if there are any woman here that find geeks attractive?" Dude no offence, but with a chest and abs like yours I can't see much geek in you. Now I know that thanks to marvel anyone can claim geekdom. But I was the fat geeky kid at school getting the shit kicked out of me by guys that look like you for reading comics then copied my work in science class. We used comics to get away from the fact that in real life we weren't fit or attractive or good at sports and forget girls, being a geek was like female bug spray. Wearing Batman underwear and watching a few movies does not make you a geek. But telling me how many Robins there have been and which is you favourite might. Oh and the comic nerd nation called to remind people that DC and Marvel are just two publishing companies. There is also; Dark Horse Avatar IDW Millar World Vertigo Top Cow Image And more.

One of the very few times I am very happy to be eating humble pie. You understand that to a lot of us this stuff is more important than anything. It is literally a religion to some of us, True believers only. And yes we can be very defensive about it but years of having to (sometime literally) defend our right to read comics can make you a little stand offish about the new breed of poozers. Congratulations on the transformation into a Greek god. You should teach the rest of us how to do it while still reading comics.

"I like TBBT because I identify with the geeks rather than Penny. I know people like every one of the characters, (though not as exaggerated as in the show, obviously, since "norms" wouldn't "get" regular geeks, so they need to be over-the-top). We may be meant to laugh at the geeks but they're actually pretty content to do their own thing most of the time and they are in an environment in which they excel. As a geek who is equally content to do my own thing and sod what's "cool", I enjoy it." ![]()

I've worn glasses since I was two years old, I need them to see and it bugs me that it's now a cool to put them on and be a 'geek' I think that Bernadette is way hotter than Penny in TBBT." And most are either 3d glasses with the lenses popped out or are just clear glass. Oh definitely! She's got better boobs too. ![]()

"I'm a history geek and a book worm. Also a Bond geek, Star Wars geek and GOT geek. Mainly a history geek. If there are any insomniacs out there, I could probably fix duff sleep patterns if you get me waffling on about Tudor England. OMG HH, that's so awesome! Many of my friends are also history geeks (because LRP and reenactment have a big crossover) and I'm constantly in awe of them. Lol. For about 6 years I was involved in an interactive historical exhibition for school trips based in the Tudors. We taught them about court life, weapons and armory, food (peacocks and marchpane ![]() ![]() Very cool. I doff my hat in your general direction. It was a really key period for the development of weaponry and they ate some weird stuff in court.

"I'm not a woman, but iten like geeky women Better that than them watching towie etc. I have a long lasting crush on Gillian Anderson. And Emily Booth. Agreed, I'd pick a woman who appreciates the likes of Game of Thrones, Walking Dead, Breaking Bad any day compared to all this reality tosh they show nowdays" those tv shows are about as mainstream non-specialist as you can get...

"I generally avoid them. Self proclaimed "geeks" are the kind of guys who will question your geek credentials and make you prove yourself to them. I've had it dozens of times on dates. Would rather just meet someone intelligent. If they like the same things as me, that's a bonus." I don't do that. I get enthused if someone is a fan of something I like and will happily chat about it, but I don't interrogate them!

"I'd rather 'date' a geek than a sporty guy" Sporty guys are inherently geeks, they are passionate about what they do and often has huge amounts of knowledge about their subject. Or is sports not as valid a geek subject as science?

"I'd rather 'date' a geek than a sporty guy. But what about a sporty geek?" Probably not. People who are into sports aren't on my wavelength generally.

Or is sports not as valid a geek subject as science?" Oh for goodness sake. I don't like sports, therefore i'd rather not date someone who is into them. And no, I don't see sports nuts as geeks. I've certainly not met one yet, but then, I do avoid sports fanatics for a few reasons.
