Some connections/correlations?

When did you start to write? How was your enthusiasm and how much do you enjoy writing now?

At what age did you master time reading? How's your time management today? (these days).

Thoughts to those who are dyslexic etc - I don't mean to imply anything about your abilities etc.

southend

I was reading the time and understanding it, using an analogue watch, not a digital before I went to infant school.

My time management is shit!

I could write the alphabet around the same age too. I love writing and have kept a journal for most of my life. My Grandad taught me to read and write. Got sick of me asking 'why' all the time!

Don't know how old i was when i started to write but it was probably early, i taught my kids the alphabet and write their name at the age of 2. I do know i was reading proper books by the age of 3, and my mum said i was supposed to be reading the books to her but i'd stop reading to her and sit there reading them myself, always loved reading until i had no time for it by my 30s.

What's time reading?

My time management is poor, no idea what time it is half the time, or what day, unless i have alarms set. It's never been great either.

I'm similar - I had an analogue watch when I was 3 and learned from there onwards. My time management is ok.

I was writing letters and my name before school and love writing. I've always asked a lot of questions, many of them irritating.

By time reading, I meant when were you able to tell the time?

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I learnt to read at two. Some people would dispute that the scrawl I sometimes use now would be classed as 'writing'. (I remember finding it very hard to write at school, but I can't remember when I started).

Oooh, 'time reading'. Obviously I still struggle to read now.

Can't remember. I am usually early for appointments etc though so probably quite early.

Analogue watch from an early age & certainly understanding it by primary school. My timekeeping is fine & usually early

Before primary school, apparently my mother would sit down & go through letter shapes, holding pencils etc so I was already well on the way to writing properly formed letters by primary school. Have always been a keen reader & writer & hate biro's Would love to master copperplate script. Still write long hand a lot now

Oh right. I don't know when that was. Can't even remember learning to do it.

I do remember reading to myself though, and remember one of the neighbours kids teaching me joined up writing but can't remember when that was. Got a crap time memory.

I can't remember when I started writing... before primary school at least. Though, now I'man avid creative writer & I've kept a journal for the past four years.

Reading time, about four or five I think, as it was around the time I started primary school. I'm usually at least five minutes early for things, as I like to make sure that I have plenty of time to get where I'm going.

little house on the praire

I could read and write before I went to school I went straight on to the gay way readers books didn't have to do Jane and Peter.

As for telling the time I was probably about 4 or 5 but I remember exactly how I learnt my favourite uncle bought me a Timex turquoise watch and said Id like you to tell the time when I next see you and I could.

I taught my son exactly the same way he was struggling and I bought him the exact timex watch but with a red strap and he learnt overnight.
