Before I was married in was with a girl in Aberdeen loved each other to bit but we couldn't make it work. Nether of us could move it was just a nightmare. At least yours is only temporary you'll be fine

I went out with an Aberdonian lass, well I say lass, I was 28 and she was 41, we spent 6 yrs together and I had my first meet with her in 1992 via Rendezvous magazine

To answer your question OP, I think it's much easier to cope with being apart these days with mobiles, Skype etc being readily available

Nell and I live 120 miles apart. We message each other through the day and share little things, send affectionate messages and frequently use the poo emoji!

Ads and I live 50 miles apart and see each other properly every other weekend and for a couple of hours the other Sunday.

It can be really hard sometimes, especially as I have a controlling ex husband so close to me, not having him here to cuddle every day can be tough.

But we get through it, phone calls, FaceTime, letters and text

Tam and myself live about 100 miles apart and both have our own different lives but we meet around halfway at least once a month... Keep a lookout for the pix tomorrow evening.
