Movies that make you cry

There are some movies that no matter what mood I'm in will have me reaching for the tissues.

Tonights example homeward bound.

What films get you every time?

For me it's got to be Billy Elliott - one of the best films ever. It always makes me cry ;o (

Yes, the bit at the end when Sam finally says goodbye.

Also, the end of The Railway Children when Jenny Agutter's father turns up on the railway platform.

Oh and the scene in Green Mile when he cures the warden's wife.

"The Notebook

Toy story 3

Inside Out (the new ish pixar one)"

Inside out!! Yes! R turned around at the point with her imaginary friend (won't spoil it to people who haven't seen it) to say something along the lines of; "this is where the sissies are supposed to cry", at which point I had been holding the feels for far too long, and suddenly this wailing, blubbering waterfall unleashes. I was a complete mess from this film, it was beautiful!!!

Just about everything sad, happy or nostalgic. Last time I saw It's a Wonderful Life (a combination of all three) I was crying about 30 minutes after it finished.

But the one I really struggle to explain is Fame - in the graduation show when the choir gets up. I understand the manipulation, I know it is coming, I try to resist, but - it gets me. Every time.

"Steel magnolias and you got mail "

Deffo Steel Magnolias (I won't watch it now, as I know it makes me cry). But I also cry at happy endings.... when the US president is saved in a dramatic mid-air rescue in the film Air Force One ("Liberty 24 is changing call-signs, Liberty 24 is now Air Force One!")

Although if Donald Trump is the next US president, I think I will be on the side of the hijackers

One film really hits me and has me reaching for the Mansize tissue...

The scene hear the end of Backdraft where the Pipe Band start up to head the cortege for the funeral of the main character in the film.

Pipes and Drums are always stirring for me, as a Scot, but in the context of the film. I blub each time!

So happy that so many other guys have owned up to having emotions...Film wise for me is anything that has sad bits in or happy endings as long as I believe in the characters I can feel the emotions. I've also cried reading books and watching tv...What can I say, I'm just a big softy

I second this one! So sad! My sisters lulled me to watch this what a bad idea! Would advise it though!

Toy story 3 is one my son likes to watch and cuddle me when I start bubbling. There was one more recently I cried at for a stupid reason. Breaking bad though at the end and Dexter at the end of season 4/5 I think and the very end had me like a child crying.
