Good Lord man, show some initiative. If the mountain won't come to shhhh-you-know-who etc etc.

Hop on down to the local shisha bar and enquire, very politely - remember you're in a foreign country - if any of the gentlemen there would be willing to lend you their wife for a bit of open sesame (it's known as making the camel with two humps in Egypt, apparently).

You may sense some reluctance at the idea initially, so make it clear that you are flexible, and that you'll be happy to let them watch if they so wish.

This isn't a surefire method, but if you persist then I'm sure that you'll get a response.

Go to a tourist establishment (restaurant, cafe), chances are you'll meet other visitors / ex pats and glean some useful tips regarding meeting .. Types looking for fleeting Egyptian.. Entanglements.

Bare in mind it's a different cultural setting that comes with a unique set of customs and dangers though.
