I have a small teddy that I have had since I was 2.. in bad times I grab it and stroke its ears.

I have a soft teddy but its not used in comfort so to speak.

It sits next to me on the side table next to my bed with its arms wrapped round the lamp.

But....

I never ever fly without it in my suitcase.

His name is gordon

All my mates no its my lucky mascot and ask if i have him.

It has evoked some strange faces when they over here me saying..yes, gordon is tucked into my case.

He has had his pic took all over the world

No and I do worry seriously about 'adults' who do. Fair enough , write in capitals at me if you will but it's odd.

I also travel a lot with work and have 2 bears that are always the first thing into the case when I am packing.

Its nice to have something of your own in an impersonal hotel room.

I have come back to the room some evenings after being out all day to find the bears tucked up in bed, sometimes with a book, and once with the remote control between them, so obviously the chambermaids like them as well

i never had anysort of comfort blanket when i was young.

both my sisters did and they would sit and suck their thumbs whilst rubing them. the one used to take her cot blanket wherever she went and the other had a pillow case with couds on. in fact she still has a manky bit of it tucked under her pillow

"my cock.......

What can you say after that?

When I'm stressed I take the dogs out and laugh at their mad antics chasing squirrels, leaves, and each other through puddles

I have a couple of my departed's shirts and a big woolly jumper when I feel like I need a hug or encouragement. I can still smell him on the jumper, even though I've washed it continually over the years. Just my imagination I suppose. xx

Yup

I have my security blanket and I suck my finger. My mum wouldn't give my a dummy when I was wee cause she said they looked awful. So I had a piece of muslin from a nappy (clean I might add... well sort of, I was generally opposed to it being washed). I eventually progressed to men's hankies and made a habit of stealing them from my dad. I bought him new ones every Christmas and stole his old ones. Now I buy myself new ones every Christmas with a _iew to chucking out the old ones, only I never do. So now I have erm... quite a few in my bed. But I always have one with me, in a pocket, up my sleeve, in my handbag, in the car... and I can't actually believe I'm admitting this out loud.

I gave it up when I was about 14 and then my gran died and I went back to it. Never given it up since, never will.

My little teddy has no fur left.. his head had been sewn back on a lot of times and he no longer has his union jack waistcoat.. lol

But I love him to bits.
