Fook that hurt.

Just slipped with a drill/driver and stabbed the rotating bit deep into the fleshy bit between my thumb and index finger.

Small hole. Deep. I can see right inside me

Stanley cuts can be a bitch. Had a go at removing a pound of flesh like that once.

I don't think I like being a bathroom fitter anymore.

I was pre threading an extrusion with a screw before assembling. So pushing really hard to stop the driver chewing the screw head as they're really soft.

Hence digging it and drilling my own hand as it was only a couple of inches run up away.

Keep a close eye on that Rachael, those sort of wounds have a nasty habit of getting the sort of infection that can be a major issue.

Ta. I'm going to pop into the walk in tonight. Probably could do with a tetanus shot. It's still open so they can have a peek in the hole

Slipped with a paint gun once and melted the skin on the bottom of my thumb/side of my hand. Was bloody painful. Hard to rest up those places when you hurt them.

Yikes! Get to A&E!

I damaged the tendons between my thumb and index finger last summer, and today I've just got my referral to a hand surgery (privately) for them to try and fix the damage that the NHS has been denying is there...

Last time I did that I drilled into the bone of my finger and it pulled the nerve back through the hole , took a couple of weeks to pluck the courage to snip the nerve flush with the skin x

Lol. I'm not the one who causes pain in the ass.

I'm home now. The walk in were helpful and said as I've stemmed the leak I will be ok to return first thing. Everything moves fine and it hurts because I jabbed it so hard with a rotating cross point bit.

Nice pink plaster? (You used to be able to get cupcake plasters in Tesco... I would buy them for when my big beefy rowing crew got ouchies...)
