Hull but travel regularly

I've just caught my second cold of the year, having recently got over another one that came with a bad chest infection needing steroids and antibiotics. I've heard so many others have had two colds, one lady I spoke to the other week hasn't been well since November. WTF's going on? Anyone else the same?

No... I had a flu jab this year. I think it's made a difference. I've normally had at least two colds by now.

Just the time of year. I'm well over this winter. At least one of the household seems to have been sick at any given time over the last few months.

I'm the same.

Been in good health for a few years, had 2 bad colds one after the other and just getting over the last one now.

Yeah there's definitely something going around. I've had a really tickly cough for over a week now, and a cold 3 weeks ago.

I usually only get ill once or twice a year

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

I had a cold about 10 days ago, coughing and spluttering, I often think folk stumble from one cold to another as their immune systems are suppressed / damaged after antibiotics and other treatments..

Get well soon op...

The flu jab does not protect you from colds, it barely protects from flu!

Most of us are Vit D deficient. This is an important vitamin for many things and the immune system is one of them. Get tested by your GP and/or supplement.

Flu and colds are different. If you had Flu and saw a £20 note blowing around on your front garden you wouldn't go and get it.

On my second bally bad chest infection i been prescribed antibiotics.

I consider myself jolly healthy lots of good food abs vitamin C and D .

Though walking miles every day in the pouring rain may have some thing to do with it
