I don't think this kind of surgery affects your size when erect, it only improves the size when flaccid. But I could be wrong.

Yes I've heard that too, there was a TV prog about it some time ago. I seem to remember the gains the patient made were extremely small (more like 2 cm than 2 inches) but went thru with it anyway as he technically had a "micro penis" to begin with and thought it would boost his self esteem.
