The future of Sex.

Having watched that movie ex machina last night and seen various other movies involving the human species mixing with robots and even the recent bbc3 documentary about Virtual reality headsets and sex dolls etc..where are we heading with this?the lines are blurring..would you have sex with a machine?swop sexual identity?penny for your thoughts on this brave new world we face

I have s conversation with someome and they asked me if I'd seen a certain film as I described a scene from it but not sure which film.

Anyway my thoughts are, judging by where we have come in just the last 30 years or even the last 20 years goodness knows what will happen.

I'm not sure we will be having sex with robots in my life time but I think there will be virtual reality sex I think where half way there now. Where you would be able to touch your partner on a screen and feel their skin the warmness ect feel their breathing. Not quite sure about the penatrive sex but I'm sure there will be away.

It happened ages ago, dildos are 'machines', other sex toys are becoming popular (including fucking machines).

Honestly, for most people i don't think sex is that much of a priority. And the more liberal we become the less important sex and fantasy will become, as separate entities or intertwined.

And of cause we can already change our sex, obviously it's not an easy process but far easier than it was. Could we change sexual identity as and when I don't think so u less we where robots. Because it's how we are biologically made, when a man/women chamges sex they have to go through all sorts of nor ones and treatments its not something you could change every week.

But if babies are going to be born outside the womb then we won't need to have woman's "parts" so who knows maybe we will evolve into being non vender specific

To elaborate a bit on the dolls and virtual stuff, i think we've created a fair bit of loneliness in society, a more apt word might be least exclusion.

I know people who live whole virtual lives already, in game worlds, where they can be everything they want to be and there's no obstacles for them there. From things like liberal attitudes to the fact that they are able bodied in virtual world.

I'm sure it helps these people a lot and don't even think it's a bad thing for them.

It's when the two worlds overlap that can be a problem, like one person wants to live a virtual life and someone else wants to live a real one but relationships break up anyway when people aren't compatible so nothing new here.

I used to think their was a problem with living in virtual worlds, but if this stuff makes people able to cope then there's no harm in it.

Very true on all the comments so far..

I guess it will most impact those trapped in their own bodies..either by disablement or injury or perhaps those unsure of gender.

yes its the only programme I've ever seen on it think it was in parts I was fascinated by how people become the virtual person

If they perfected virtual directing women on cam this probably would happen.

Most guys wanna control a woman on ca, so i noticed, and aren't happy to use sites specifically for this coz it's not 'real' (plus they can't afford it maybe or are worried about getting scammed). But get it so it's safe and costs nothing and it would take off really well.

Dunno about people who would still want physical sex though, coz it's the smell of another person, the textures of the body, the taste, and the spontaneity for some as well. I don't think they could replicate all this.

Kind of creepy they're inventing life like but non-autonomous life forms. Like we need something that has no wants of it's own but will fulfil others wants, even if that want is the bins sorting.
