What steak do you prefer and how do you like it cooked?

I've a friend that'll only eat fillet. I don't see the appeal, it's twice the price and isn't anywhere near as flavoursome as other cuts.

Gimme a huge ribeye med/rare anyway

Rump ribeye or Tbone for me. I want steak with some flavour and fillet for all its tenderness is far too bland.

There's a really good Nigella recipe for rump steak, where it's hot marinaded in lemon, thyme and garlic. Thinly sliced and rare

Had my first Ever T bone last weekend 32oz and cooked on the table via a hot stone. Was lovely made better by where the restaurant was situated. Usually pop for the rib eye but this cut maybe my new favourite.

If cooked properly, rare steak doesn't bleed, you only see blood when it's medium rare to medium.

I love fillet because it is so tender. I love rib eye for the flavour but recently tried bavette steak and that was really flavoursome.

Really got into rump recently as it's been on offer. Medium rare on all steaks. With a crack of pepper, bit of salt and chips grrrrr.

Whatever the cut, I always find it tastes sweeter if it's been marked down and grappled out of the hands of another punter in Tescos

Love any steak really! But T bone is the best I've had in a restaurant, in Amsterdam, or fillet steak if cooked perfect.

Always rare of course, never really fancied blue

The most important aspect apart from the correct cut of good quality meat is how long it has been aged for. Some restaurants now sell 28 day aged steak
