"Before i am verbally lynched this post is not directed at anybody it is a simple question. I did a forum post titled drugs. On the post i asked members do they think drugs in general are good or bad. I did not condone or condem. The post gave back different opinions of course. From my knowledge all posts were put on in a mature manner. I have now just noticed that the post smokers has now been removed, again. The lounge forum says it is for genal and open discussion. So why is it that when such toppics are posted they are removed. Are we not allowed to openly and frankly debate such social issues. Are we only allowed to post such toppics of well would you give the poster above you one ? Are we not allowed to discuss adult issues in an adult manner ? " dunno bout that but I am worried bout the state of Nanny flying round in her time machine. (or did she nick monkey's)

"Are we not allowed to openly and frankly debate such social issues" Yes, providing the posts don't contravene the site rules, which in the case you refer to, I suspect they did

"IMO You will find that if a message doesn't appeal to certain individuals it will get removed...general and open discussion doesn't mean anything" I think they get removed when they break the rules for posting on the forums, I doubt Admin would look too kindly on it if threads are just removed just because it "doesn't appeal to certain individuals"

"I posted a fair amount in the drugs thread and had different opinions to some there. I don't recall any childish spats breaking out. It made for a refreshing change to actually have adult conversations. If that thread has been removed, that's rather sad. yes curious thats my recollection to. I was informed the post was removed because the title was drugs and that the admin do not like such issues being mentioned ?" drugs is another name for prescribed medication. if you start a post on that an people mention illegal ones will the whole post be removed or just the threads that contravene and a warning issued to those contravening?

"I run a forum and in the terms and conditions of the server people there's a section about discussions on illegal stuff therefore it's not allowed on the forums. It's not about a nanny state... it's just about using some common sense. " So should we also not talk about, say, the murder of Jo Yeates? The act of murder is as illegal as the use of illegal narcotics.

"crass i am sure thay will tell you .. mods here dont make site rules thay have to just do as thay are told." ello game im not having a go at the mods hun, i just find it a bit sad that it appears powers that be do not think us capable of having adult debates on issues other than sex. yes i know its a swing site ..and im a swinger but if i wanna chat sex or look for a lady to have some fun with ill go in the chat rooms or other forums etc i just thought the lounge forum was a place to come to chat discuss other issues other than those of a sexual nature, as it states its for gen discussion.

"personally, I really do not think the whole post should be removed but the offending ones yes and those who wrote them should receive warnings. otherwise it is basically unfair." I have to agree with this, if something is said that is obviously illegal, degrading or offensive then yes remove "that" post but not the whole thread, i thought we lived in a country that used free speech? or is that only if thats what we are allowed to say?

As I commented on an earlier post someone mentioned the death of his wife's colleague. All hell broke lose, people saying it was inappropriate on a swinging site. The same hypocrites posted about a member having a second dead baby to mourn. If Hallmark ever run out of smaltz for their cards they would have a year's supply from the condolences posted on that thread! Now I ask you, what's more inappropriate, an anonymous adult or a named dead baby on these forums?!! I won't hold my breath for an answer!

Be interested to know why the whole post was removed and if it was for the word heroine i dunno im just asking a question lol

"I didn't read either threads but if they were removed I'd guess that it wasn't the subject being discussed that would have been the issue but most probably the way the threads were falling into disarray, insults and slanging matches. As I said, I didn't read either thread, but from past experience, I'd assume this to be the case ..." If this was the case then why not just lock the thread? rather than remove it..
