Are you thinking close to city centre or a village/town somewhere?

Just past the sign that says "you are now leaving Leicestershire" I'm only kidding,I live in Leicestershire and its by choice. Ashby is nice, as is coleorton. All depends on what you are after though not everyone likes the sticks

We have two little'un's under two so not IN the city but not in the middle of nowhere, lol.

Currently spending my life on Google checking where all of the special needs schools are, crime rates and things to keep the kids amused. x

There are some nice areas in blaby. As for crime rates they're never accurate. If you're thinking of public schools they'll all be academies soon so it won't matter really, word of mouth is best for schools. Leicestershire is a big area, Hinckley is part of Leicestershire but about 30min from Leicester city.

Whitwick is lovely. Low crime rates, loads of countryside and there's an excellent special needs school just on the outskirts.

Thank you for all of the replies so far, Guys.

We don't know the area at all and Google can only tell you so much so the word of mouth, personal experiences and recommendations really help. x

I've spent a lot of time in Leics on business. It's a huge and very varying county.

Nicest areas for me are Melton Mowbray, Oakham, Ashby DL Zouch.

Wigston is quite a busy small town ont eh outskirts of the city centre. Good road/motorway access and quite close to Fosse Park (retail park). Be aware that Glenn Parva young offenders is very close by and there's not really any countryside to mention unless you go for a drive. Not sure on the school situation.

The jet engine was invented in Lutterworth.

It's a lovely town but I get the feeling the house prices are quite high.
