"Personally, a wink is a way of saying "I like your profile, a wink back can be an invitation to talk. There's a lot of "winks will be ignored..." Type of profiles on fab. Surely if you're in high demand, it's more efficient to click on a profile where someone has winked, than trawl through a heap of potentially benal "hi how are you" messages!? It's a look at me, see if you like me, if so, get back to me. " I never worry How others manage their profile its their choice, I rarely send winks if the profile interests me enough to contact I think the investment of a few minutes of my time in to a message is worthwhile.

"I only use them or look at them as a result of forum banter threads" I only check them when I am playing on the forums

"I don't think winks are lazy - I do check them and take it as a non-pushy sign of interest. If we're interested in return we'll wink back or message. " That's how we see them. They're a feature of the site, why not use them
