To all those going to socials tonight the press (news of the world, the star and sunday sport) are all sniifing round there is an undercover couples on this site working for the newspapers they have been in to chameleons and spoke to lynn and dawn. And there is supposed to be a reporter at the peterborough social tonight everything is going to be exposed.

I have just had a 2 reporterS ring me ACCUSING ME OF BEING A MADAM and offer me £5000 to talk and I refused. Because I organised the Peterborough social.

For 5k I would tell them anything!!!...(made up of course!) reporters dont let the truth get in the way of a good story!

Wouldnt they stand out a little at Chams?..sitting there fully clothed, camera around their neck..with 'press' printed on a card sticking out of their trilby hats?

Seriously though..they should be easy to spot..hardly moving from the bar..they wouldnt be joining in the 'festivities'...asking people loads of questions about swinging..

What did they think they were going to see? I saw more action up town last than you'd see at a swingers social!! It was being held in a pub!!! I know my flirtings bad, but don't think its news worthy lol. I was really looking forward to a good laugh huge amounts of flirting and just a nice relaxing evening. I know i read it but i would guess if there are under cover reporters about they would have a profile up and have got it verified. These people have fooled all sorts in the past and are pretty devious. If they want a story and have invested time and money they are not put of easily i am guessing.

It doesn't matter what they might or might not have seen or what might or might not have happened.

In the eyes of the red tops swingers are perverts and, had they infiltrated the event, the headline would have been 'Pervs invade Peterborough'or similar and they'd have printed a few library pics with faces blanked out and the background unidentifiable.

If their intervention has caused the event to be cancelled, they'll claim the credit for 'Peterborough saved from Perverts by NOTW' and still publish the stock pics and some 'sources close to' or ' according to a website' "quotes".

and im sorry if you look at the person profile who sorted this social the social address is printed on her profile so at the end of the day why would thay have to go to any lengths to find out details sorry im no james bond or pvt eye detective but it dont take alot of working out if its true were thay got the details from she did it for them by printing the details on her profile sorry but i dont see it being true what so ever

Footballers have been cheating for years, pop stars taking drugs for years, film stars exposing flesh for years but its still news and people will read it. Very little reported in the papers hasn't been reported on others before. Swingers party's will always be if interest to those who like to expose unfortunately.

got to say i wouldnt dream of posting the venue on a forum and to let anyone else reading this my social i want to se more than one verification and the venue details will not be given till last minute.

If, as I've mentioned above, the 'leak' came from the venue they'll know exactly which tables were booked by the organiser and consequently which tables the 'pervs' are sitting at.

i dont post the details on any forum its email only and i will be stepping up on things to like i said to come to mine you need a cpl verifications to come. iv seen reporters in clubs before so im not that daft.

yes and people flirt and have sex after maybe at a hotel or there car or friends houses not there ... well the ones i have been at in pubs have been very layed back, I have been doing this over 10 years on and off sdc partys local party and socials .

Well we don't put much faith by it. Many have said in the past its abused and looking at some profiles you get the opinion it is not exactly reliable.

Village halls? Are you sure you go to swingers socials? Most of the ones we have attended are in a function room in a pub and rarely in an open pub! Others are in private swingers venues or a closed pub like the other social today.

When we go to a social its always with an open mind and we have got up to some fun well before the night has finished, maybe its the difference between city and village life!

I have been told by my nephew that swingers hold what he called "conventions" in zincs in Cardiff. I just looked amazed and said what are swingers, and he works for local rag i just think its just a bit of gossip, but to be sure i stay away from socials advertised in forum xxxx sticks to quiet ones only advertised by word of mouth i.e. the phone

The whole point of a social is that any one can go, because, its not a sexual event, its a party....It a SOCIAL occasion to meet other like minded people, so why on earth couldn't shaz post the details on the forums? Its hardly any more secure if she was to pm everyone who asked.

I dont think Shaz should be slated at all, she gave her time and effort to try and arrange a fun night out. Maybe you should try and arrange something next time if you think you could do a better job!!

Lol oh come on, anyone on here is hardly Princess Diana quality. Ok I guess its a bit interesting, sex sells doesnt it, but the story of swingers has been told time and time again. Is it really that newsworthy and to be honest what is remotely interesting about us lot, we would hardly be front page material. Celebrity sells newspapers, stick a celebrity with a sex story and theres money to be made. I really cant see how interesting us lot really are

Thanks hun I have met some amazing people through fabs and chams and I will not put anyone at risk or rat anybody out. I thought the first phone call was a hoax but after the 5th one dont think so offering me obscene amounts of money. I refused. I am a true swinger and will not hurt the ones I care about.

If you get a phonecall from someone claiming to be a reporter ask for their NUJ number and dept head at the paper they say they work for, Contact the NUJ to verify they are a reporter as anyone can say they work for any of the red tops.

Years ago i come across somthing a bit like this .... person making out from local- paper saying thay was going to be there under cover .... but thay found out it was a person who was just saying it as there club would miss out on people going there if thay had the meet at the pub . Because your first post mentions 3 separate newspapers. What are the chances of 3 separate newspapers all working on the same undercover story at the same time?

Secondly what kind of "undercover" reporter rings the organiser to tip them off that reporters will be a the event and offer them £5000 to presumably provide an inter_iew?

We first got into swinging by seeing a report in the Sport. It was of a female who went with her male partner to private parties at couples houses. Documented fully about what he and she did (only hand action).

Big 2 page spread. It was a somewhat interesting read though.

some people would not wish to be confronted by press at any social or club. As others have said posting phone numbers is not always safe, one never knows who could use that number or pass it on.

And giving out venue, i have been to socials that i know are invite only, or people have to be known to that person organising etc.. safer that way. and have never been to one yet where i have felt unsafe, (from intruders) lol

It is nice to meet new people at socials to be honest you never know who you are chatting to lol

None of the gutter press would need to take pictures, they would just download them from the internet and obscure the faces, the steamier the pictures the more sales they will get. None of the pictures would depict actual goings on, the story will include the girl aged about 30 in the corner performing sex acts on 2 men at the same time, who they later speek to and allegidly assertain her name is Julie or Alice, and the 2 women on the dance floor with their tongues down each others throat.

The point I am trying to make here is they have no need to even attend the social, the story will have already been writen (assuming there is a story in the first place) all they need is the name of the venue they don't even need the date as the story won't come out for 2 weeks after the event, these people are not jurnalists, they are cartoonists, the last real news any of them covered was the death of Princess Diana, and not all of that was accurate, and thats just the NOTW and the Sun (which is the same company incedently), and who would ever believe the Sport (yes that's the one who reported the double decker bus and spitfire found on the moon), so if I had organised the social it would go on as planned as no matter what, the story will go ahead without reporters attending, it will still be classed as an "EXCLUSIVE" if it is canceled it will still be an "EXCLUSIVE, but this time it will read NOTW stops swinging event.

Please don't underestimate these people though, they can turn nothing into something, and can ruin someone's career on a whim (remember only a few months ago one of the members of this site was exposed, and she happened to be a chief constable for one of the large police forces), if they want to report they will, nothing you or I can do about it.

Well.. Firstly I must say that it is highly unlikely that someone from a newspaper would warn you before hand, let alone three! Second, they offer no money at all unless they can't get the info from the venue and people there.

Thirdly and more sinister, it looks like someone wanted your social cancelled. Perhaps another social organiser wanted your "catch". But that would only work if money was involved.

There is the chance that it was all a wind up and it has backfired and now they can't say anything because of the cancellation. Your next phone bill could be interesting. It should have the number who called. They might have blocked the number, but you never know...

Swinging always used to be a private affair, but now with the advent of new facilities it is no longer the case. Club owners are actually inviting newspapers in to clubs on play nights! One last weekend had the Sport along on a Friday!

Others, like has been said do pieces for the papers. it is almost as if they think they can change editor opinions of what goes on, but they can't. Next slow news day and there you have your story, jigged to make it more sellable...

One of the reasons we don't go to clubs at the moment..

Well we still had our social we just changed the venue and was more discreet still had around 40 couples turn up so not too bad considering it was a last minute thing. And it was a fabulous night. So those who tried to fuck it up failed miserably. And wow the after parties were amazing.
