When my eldest son skype'd my last weekend to say he had just got married and they were expecting a baby.

Oh and while i explained to my daughter this afternoon why I'm thinking about resigning my job. She said "no need to worry Daddy, we'll still love you".

Most days looking at my children, but other than that when I got my promotion just before Christmas and the realisation of how much I've achieved and progressed since returning to work 5 years ago

I got a call from school a couple of weeks ago to tell me how well my daughter was doing at school, the teacher said usually you only get a call if your kids played up but she likes to let people know when their children are doing well

She said she's doing really well with her GCSEs and is expected to sale through them all, that she was a lovely polite young lady and a credit to me

I must admit when we had finished on the phone I did feel proud

It's great isn't it? Our daughter was rewarded for good behavior with 6 weeks of horse riding lessons! Not that long ago it only seemed to the kids with behavioral problems that got these kind of things.

Proud of my friend after years and years of!hard work getting bsc with honours

And right now proud of my goddaughter whose been fighting a rare life threatening illness thats reared its ugly head yet again but she won't be beaten

I felt stupidly proud when the doctor told me my prep for a colonoscopy was so good that I had the cleanest colon he'd seen that day.

A little bit of praise for something daft but I I'll take it.
