Been looking at narrow stripes. Browns and creams as our bedroom carpets are cream and the landing would probably be better with something cream in them

Might go and have a look at scs now

Just had one put down in our bedroom.

Reds, beige, brown stripes. Looks AMAZING!!!!

And makes the bedroom look massive.

Go for it!

Don't go for zigzags - made me go dizzy and I nearly fell down the stairs.

Never thought of having one in bedroom as thought they would clash with the bedding

Do you have to hoover the carpet in straight lines as you would mow the lawn ?

I have a massive striped rug in my sitting room. Love stripes. If I had stairs I would absolutely have a striped carpet on them.

"It's a no from me"

Well in that case it's over with us. I'm through with you completely. I cannot possibly marry someone who objects to stripes!

no matter

When I eventually get my hall stairs landing done I plan to get the stripe..I have plain green now and it shows every bit of grit feather and birdseed. The stripe will be much nicer.. probably brown cream type colours.

Go for it I like.

Do the stripes run across the stairs or up and down them?

It'd be awkward to get the pattern looking right if the stairs turn a corner and have slanting treds.

My carpet stripes will be straight up and the stairs luckily don't turn a corner
