Ok so my windows 7 says UPDATE. It goes through the update. Then tells me. ERROR and it reverts. Takes about 4 hrs to revert. WTF is going on.

How old is your computer?

It might be that it can't cope with the update.

Is it updating to Windows 10?

7 can download the update, ready for you to install it. By the time you get to it, there may be a newer update to the one that was automatically downloaded - I've seen this happen.

Run windows update, uncheck all but one update and run it. If it completes successfully repeat until you find update that is failing or they all go through. Some updates can only be applied if others already have been.
