So I'm being slightly dramatic. But I've been suffering from sickness all night. Every hour I've been vomming. Now I haven't eaten anything weird to maybe get food poisoning, but, I live in the north east and went to Essex on Sunday and drank an insane amount of tap water. Can it be that? Just trying to figure it out before I bother the doctors.

Loads of bugs going around. Just sip water very slowly and don't eat anything. As long as you can keep water down and you don't have any weird rashes or any other symptoms I wouldn't bother with a doctor just yet. Likely it'll pass in the next day or so.

That's what I would do if it were me. Feel better soon x

Have been suffering since the weekend with similar symptoms, may have been born and raised in Essex but have not been there for years...... Maybe I can still blame their water. Though????

I could be the water, i know ive been ill a few times after drinking the water in kent (i live in the north west)

But there are also a lot of bugs going round at the moment so you could of just picked up one of those

Our tap water is perfectly safe to drink. You probably touched someone/something that had some kind of bug on them /it and transferred it to your mouth. Did you do any rimming by any chance?

How many people in Essex are unwell this morning ?

But, to be fair, changes in hard to soft water are unlikely to be the cause.

You're more likely to have picked it up from something you ate

You can get food poisoning from the seemingly most innocuous of sources, Essex may be dodgy but I'm pretty certain its still safe to drink the water!

You don't have to eat something weird to get food poisoning. You can eat a chicken sandwich from Tesco that has been contaminated and get ill. Or touch something that someone who didn't wash their hands after using the toilet touched. Germs are microorganisms and get everywhere easily.

Drink cooled boiled water or lemonade and suck ice cubes for fluid and don't eat anything. Feel better soon x

Thanks! I thought it might be different water than up here like if you drink it abroad haha.

Flat would be ideal but can't keep water down atm.

I did do some rimming... but I've never been ill from him before haha.

If you drink water too quickly it'll all come back up again. Literally a tiny sip every 5 mins just to keep toy hydrated, get someone to get you some of that stuff you dissolve in diaoralyte I think it's called

If it lasts more than 3 days see a doctor. If you get crippling stomach pains and acute diarrhoea it could be salmonella or some other dangerous bug.
