Or the 79 version of Salem's Lot, if you have four hours to play with... or the original Carrie. Or the dramatization of The Secret Of Crickley Hall, though that's dragged out a bit as it's three or four hours long.

If you like a good British film, The Quiet Ones is good. Stonehurst Asylum is a good one too.

Depends on the level of horror you want though and the genre.

Don't bother with The Circle or The Cube, both crap in my opinion.

Shutter isn't bad, and Shutter Island is great (not linked in anyway).

28 Days Later and 28 Weeks Later are both amazing.

The Human Centipede trilogy is fairly poor in terms of them being low budget but otherwise ok.

Severance is a great film.

The Antichrist is completely fucked up.

I could go on but it really depends on your tastes.

I guess the first time I ever watched the grudge. Creepy fucking film that.

Old black and white film called night of the demon.

Ridiculous special effects, but very atmospheric and a scary movie.

Hey I think you might like a depraved Australian film called 'The Loved Ones' then. Fucked up!!

I like this kind of stuff, as well as old school horror like Suspiria, Ghost Story and Don't Look Now. The soundtrack in these makes them worse than they are!

I liked Sinister too - the second one is equally as fucked up. Horror snuff at its best and the end credits soundtrack is just horrible! I play it outside the bathroom when my flatmate is taking a shower, just to freak her out. I'm nice like that!

Some others that scarred me as a kid but would be considered classics now, Hellraiser, Candyman (both Clive Barker), the TV film of Stephen King's 'It' and the original Fright Night.

Going back to my previous post, my mate and I came out of the cinema after watching 'Sinister 2' a couple of months ago, going 'what the fuck...twisted!'

Sorry I promise I'll stop posting/taking over the thread now, but I have to say one of the most weirdest films I've ever seen is a comedy horror with a swinging theme! I make friends watch a certain scene (which is disgusting) and their faces are always a joy to behold.

I also think The Shining is one of the best horrors ever, to the extent I visited the 'Overlook Hotel' a couple of years ago.

Straw dogs has two versions and pretty intense.

The girl next door is pretty horrible..

Braindead, The Reanimator (based off a great Lovecraft story), all three original Evil Dead films (which get more comedic as they go on). Under the Skin, A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night, We Are What We Are and The Devils Backbone.

Also watch some Lars Von Trier if you want fucked up. Or Dogtooth, which freaks me out.

Braindead is one of my favourites....one of Peter Jacksons earliest films it's a masterpiece of blood,guts and hilarious comedy...

I found the brother-sister relationship more disturbing while at the same time kinda thinking it would be cool to have teeth in mine! I did laugh though!
