Manners cost nothing, fed up the way stuck up couples and singles don't take 2 seconds to even type thanks but no thanks. Wouldn't even mind a copy and paste rather than the rudeness off nothing. And as for that nonsense of they get so many mails it's impossible to reply to all, bollocks. Do you not think it takes literally hours and hours to read profiles, then write a respectful and relavent message to you out. Stuck up and ruder what I call it, rant over. I replied a no thanks about half an hour ago and was told "eff off then you old trout" so forgive me if am a stuck up bitch but replying to most guys gets you grief its just not worth my time

If you actually take time to read profiles and only message if appropriate you are one of the few, we never reply to the wankers who think a message is "hi I wanna fuck your pussy". But we always say thanks to a well written message.

I hate it when people pull out the old "manners cost nothing" line.

In this case yes, they do. They cost time and effort.

And there are women on here who actually *do* get a hundred messages every day. Why should they spend their time saying "no thanks" to every single person who has contacted them.

And that bs about time spent reading profiles and crafting messages?! No one is forcing you to do that. If you spend all that time on it that's your choice. And yet women who receive messages aren't allowed to choose how they spend their time?!

Do you reply to every piece of junk mail addressed to you? Why not? Do you know how much time and money went into designing that piece of marketing??!?!

This is an equivalency.

No reply = no interest. If you, as an adult, still need to be explicitly told that, then..... well....

Oh wow what an awful thing to say to someone. Agreed there are some weird people on here. We had a couple yesterday saying ooh yes please let's meet after they'd seen our pictures and we'd seen theres, then agreed to a time for meeting and signed off saying catch you later.

We got back home to check we were still on for the meet and we were blocked. Not so much as a sorry but we've decided to do something else or mrs has found she needs to wash her hair or whatever I've found I've got crabs. Some people on here are just so rude.

Glad we didn't meet them really. They were probably crap in bed and we met a much nicer couple anyone.

So big fat raspberry to them

I share your pain. I also find it rude. At the end of the day though, women are not obliged to reply.

There are some ladies who do reply to every message. I know one of them. She spends 30 minutes a day reading through messages and sending a copy and paste, polite 'no thanks' message. How respectable.

Men can spend 5-10 minutes sending a message to each woman, I know.

Basically, I know in the real world, ignorance is offensive, but this isn't the real world. Just let it go.

If a woman doesn't bother to reply, give her a day then block her if it offends you. That saves her wasting your time again. If all men did this, she'd soon start replying!

OP, I personally don't see a problem with replying with a no thank you. That is what we do.

But the site rules say that no reply is a no thanks. So people can do it. You shouldn't let these things bother you because they aren't going to change.

I actually thought I was a pretty nice person - but by your analogy I'm obviously stuck up too! Must be as you've blocked me - and many others I imagine - presumably because I didn't respond to a message you sent?

I've never asked anyone to message me op. I've never demanded that anyone read all my profile or insert a silly code-word. I've never asked anyone to fab my pictures!

I meet very few people from fab - I'm here primarily for the social side and the forum banter! If I don't respond it's either because I never saw the message or I've decided the guy isn't for me - if that makes me stuck up then so be it! X

Single fems will get loads of mail if no filters are on - they'd need a PA to reply to every single one if they're under 30 and hot! So I can see why they wouldn't. Same for couples I imagine too.

Sometimes you get messages that show the messenger hasn't read your profile at all. Again why reply ?

I think the rules say - no reply means not interested rather than being rude or a personal slight. Just move on and don't take it personally. It's not meant that way.

We try to reply to the majority but sometimes you just can't as you don't have the time etc.

Their reply validated your decision not to meet them. But please do not consider that justification for not replying.

If you excuse the analogy, when I hold doors open for someone (M or F) it is because it is the right thing to do (I'm a gentleman). I don't stop doing it because someone was impolite and ignored me or didn't say thank you!

I'm sorry that this analogy is getting ignored by the OP and others on the thread, and I know it is wheeled out as often as the tedious whining messages that invoke it, but it is so apt.

Junk mail targets are well researched, and a lot of care may go into the message, but would you honestly, do you honestly reply to each one, or any one?
